Oh, thank you, Jim. I do love your show. I I do, and I'm very glad to be back. Thank you.
Glad to have you. So I I was looking at the book and and it says, you know, this is not a book you read. This is more a book you try. Well, what do you mean by that?
I want people to come away from the book changed, um, a little bit different. Um, everything I do I try and teach, mainly because I'm a perennial student myself, and they say that the best way to learn something is to teach it. So I've been on my own psychic awakening these last few years, and I've put down what I've found out, what I've discovered and what I've tried. um, into this book, so that it is kind of like a work along. It's It's a practical field guide, if you like, that by the time you get to the end of it, I think you should have a much better idea of the ways in which you're psychic and what kind of tools work for you and the beginnings of a practice, if you will, because most people want to start something like this.
But a bit like skincare, it's all a bit overwhelming. It's all a bit sometimes a bit scary. Um I am your friendly guide.
So I I mean some people might say, Carrie, you know, I would love to be psychic. That would be so neat. I would really enjoy that. But I'm not psychic. I mean, I make a joke personally, sometimes I say, Oh, I'm about a psychic as a board, you know. Although I don't really believe that because I think there are times I have picked up on things, but I'm certainly not uh a David Beckham of uh psychic ability. Or anything like that. So I guess I guess what I'm saying is is that what if somebody's out there and saying, Carrie, uh I mean this might make some people psychic, but it's not gonna make me psychic 'cause I don't have a psychic bone in my body. What would you say to that?
I would say welcome to the club. That's where I've been. My whole life I've wanted to be psychic and I've loved witches, ghouls. I'm a professional tarot reader. You would think I would be dripping in psychic power. But despite going on workshops, vigils, being immersed in my tarot craft, I've never felt that I was one of the lucky ones. I've thought that it was for other people. Until until until I went on a holiday with my friend and I didn't take my tarot cards with me. And up until then I'd probably thought that it was my tarot cards that were the magic tool and I was just a good talker, um, a good communicator and purveyor of them. But on this holiday, I was just being myself and by the end of it she said, Do you know what?
She said, You do a lot of spooky stuff and I was like, Do I? And she was like, Yes. And then told me all the things I was doing. And I thought Maybe I do. And it triggered in me, her belief triggered in me a thought of, well, maybe I am psychic. Just because it doesn't happen like it does on the movies, I'm not seeing visions of plane crashes and then getting off the plane or you know, I'm not seeing ghosts and having full-on conversations with them.
