Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
All right, Bob. Let me see here. There we go. Where does this leave us with penguins flames tonight? I went on a rant yesterday about how I got a question in my mailbag about the penguins. And are you am I worried or scared that they're going to the mushy middle?
Chapter 2: What are the Penguins' current playoff prospects?
And I'm like, no, I'm enjoying their season and they're having success, not at the expense of their future at all. Now, I realize people and last year I was in this camp, want them to trade Raquel and or Rust and or Carlson and anybody else who's aging. I get it, but I don't think not trading those guys is going to sacrifice your future. I think the future is kind of shaping up okay.
I realize you need big star power to win, and I don't know who the next kind of generational guy, if they even get one, will be. But in the meantime, can we just enjoy it? That's how I feel.
You? Yeah, I felt that way from the beginning because I don't think they're doing anything to stop a youth movement. They're, in fact, going the other way. They're putting in guys who may or may not be ready to play, but they're giving them legitimate chances. And I like that, and I think you'll see more of that in the coming years. They have Will Horkoff, who's going to be here.
They've got a couple of really talented defensemen who are going to be here. They've added some guys like Brezzo and like Mantha, but they have a role here, and they could be helping some of these young guys. So they have a lot of picks coming up. They have a lot of ways they can go. But the two goalies, by the way, down in Wilkes-Barre are doing very well. Miroslav as well as ā Joel Blomquist.
Yeah, yeah.

Chapter 3: Why do fans want to trade players like Raquel and Rust?
In fact, I think Blomquist's number is even better than Miroshov. So those guys are on the doorstep, but it doesn't hurt to try to get into a playoff with Crosby still at the top of his game. I want to see it. And I think they're kind of heading in that direction, which is good to see.
I just want to enjoy it as we go along. Meantime, what I'm not enjoying is Pitt basketball. This looks like if this doesn't happen this year, I think it might need to be the end of the Capel era. Now, the last time I counted him out ā They had lost to Michigan and West Virginia by a million points like three years ago or something like that, maybe two years ago.
And he came back and they made the tournament. It was three years ago. Right. So I wouldn't discount that completely, but this appears to be just a program running in place, Bob.
I think, you know, they have three talented guys coming in next year. But, you know, between now and then, Joe, how much can happen? People can leave, come. You know, you get more transfers. It's just difficult to do it, especially with this NIL era. And I don't know how much money they actually have to spend on players compared to some of these other teams in the ACC.
So, yeah, I mean, they got a big game tonight. I don't know if they're going to do it. Two similar teams with same identical records. They just got blown out at home by Louisville, which ā I mean, come on. You could lose, but not the way they lost.
They lost in Stallings-like fashion. Hold on a second here, Bob. Is there something wrong with my microphone? You sound crystal clear to me. Can you hear me clearly? Okay. All right.

Chapter 4: How is the youth movement affecting the Penguins' strategy?
Then the next item on the agenda, do we predict that Andy Weidel will wind up in Atlanta? I would say no to that. Limits? I say no as well. I say yes. Oh. I think he's a pretty good candidate. I don't think they're calling him just to call him.
No, I think he'd go through the process. Yeah. But I think there may be more openings next year at this time.
I know.
But I think he may be. Who do they say is the leading candidate? I don't know who the leading candidate is, but I know they've interviewed a bunch of people. Plus you have to answer to Matt Ryan. He's the president. I don't know how well he knows him or what strategies are in place. That's all part of the interview process.

Or maybe Keon Coleman is the biggest loser. Even without going on Twitter because he's been attacked, it looks like. The other thing about that, if that was a coaching staff deal, he wouldn't still be on the roster. How many years has he been there now?
This is his third, I believe.
Okay. Well, then if he was really the coaches and it wasn't working and they weren't playing him, it sounds to me like it was more Brandon Bean than Sean McDermott.
Yeah. Yeah, something's going on, and they've become the story of the day, the fact that McDermott got fired and the GM is still there and the owner made an idiot of himself today. What's cooking? Brought to you by your local Geico rep, Tim Hester. Thank you, Mr. Hester. Cloudy today with a high of Jerome Bettis, 36, a low of Santonio Holmes, 10.
