What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Jones, with time, touch pass, he's got a man, Pittman, touchdown! Michael Pittman in the end zone, and the Colts take a 9-0 lead. And since the first time he saw him and just loves the way he plays the game. Pass is picked, intercepted, back the other way, touchdown Tampa Bay! Intercepted by Jamel Dean. Thrown by Aaron Rodgers this season, and it goes for a pick six for Dean.
Very interesting, isn't it, Limits? Very interesting what's going on in the NFL right now. Welcome to Pomp and Joe. Not you, but everybody else out there. You're part of Pomp and Joe.
I'm good to be here, too. I'm happy to be welcomed.
You're doing the welcoming. You're part of the welcoming committee. You're not the one who's being welcomed, although welcome to you. Didn't the welcoming committee welcome each other, though? Yeah, we'll do that every single morning. We exchange pleasantries, and it's often the first time we see each other is in the studio. That's right. Although I saw you kibitzing with Crowley earlier and Dorian Dixon.
Dorian. Dorian. Dorian Dickerson, as somebody pointed out to me on Twitter.
I'm kidding. I know. That's why I said Dixon. Someone called him Dorian.
Yes.
Who did?
On Twitter? There was a man that was complaining about the station and said, the only one that's good is that Dorian Dickerson on the morning show.
Incredible.
Dorian.
And also, Andrew Lindbergh was in on the act here. Yes. I didn't know if you all were talking behind my back or what was happening in here.
No, we were not talking behind your back. Just a lot of cooks in the kitchen all at once.
Clearly, Bob's not here, but his mannequin is sitting right across from me. Let's get to it, man. And the sort of the breaking news, if you want to call it that, the ongoing stories, maybe a better way to put it, is Patrick Queen. I thought he was a cut candidate. I don't think he's been horrible. And now he's a trade candidate. He hasn't been horrible, but he's also not really a difference maker at that position. He's had some really good games. I think of the game against his old team, the home game from a couple years ago for sure. He had a stretch last year where I thought he was playing really well, but he's not the guy who's going to bring elite-level performance week in and week out at that position.
He's just not. He's been an okay free agent signing, and all you need to know is is that Nick Harris of the Star-Telegram covers the Cowboys said, it sounds like Pittsburgh is hunting down a mid-round pick. And then he says, and I quote, I personally think the best they can get is a fifth rounder, which would work in Dallas's favor. They can't really give up a four or better. I don't know why, but I guess they won't have to. We'll keep a pulse on it, he says. Nothing imminent, but worth monitoring at this point. You know, if that's what you're going to get for Patrick Queen, then that pretty much tells the story. A fifth-round pick? And then I guess, well, I know you have to address that position in the draft unless you're planning to still address it in free agency.
He was an okay signing. That's what I would say about Patrick Queen. It was fun when he first got signed. You remember all the trolling between him and his former Ravens teammate? He had a legendary tweet. About somebody, who was it, Marlon Humphrey or somebody tweeted, the grass isn't always greener. And Patrick Queen tweeted out a photo of himself with a glass of wine watering a lawn. That was tremendous. Unfortunately, Limits, that was one of the high points of his Steelers tenure. I don't want to downplay it too much or downgrade it too much, I should say. Because he did have some good games. He's a serviceable player. But I was expecting more. He was an All-Pro when he got here. And our friend from Baltimore, whose name escapes me now.
Rob Long. Rob Long said, you're probably going to see that Roquan was one of the reasons for Patrick Queen making All-Pro. Well, maybe it works the other way. Maybe Patrick Queen helped Roquan, too. Maybe they were better together than apart.
