Chapter 1: What humorous banter opens the episode?
limits i'm torn wait a second there's a ron cook fathead next to the bob cutout over there yes do you just notice that it's the first time i've seen it i love it ron looks fantastic so now ron is here and bob is here I don't know where Bob is today. I'm torn here and not on your mustache either. I have a strong opinion of it.
It sucks. I know. I'm not going to let you know why.
It sucks. Don't let others influence your opinion of yourself. Crowley and Doran were strongly trying to influence my opinion of myself. They made fun of it on the radio. They made fun of it off the air even worse. Crowley said you're ugly. I disagree with that. What? Yes. I'm better looking than Crowley. I don't think that's disputable. Sorry, Crowley, my radio mentor.
You might be right about that. Why the mustache now limits? You've dabbled in this a couple of different times. What's happening here? Well, so when I went to the Penn State outdoor game, I decided, you know what? Screw it. I'm just going to keep facial hair for like two weeks to help keep extra warm because it feels like temperature was like five degrees. So I was like, you know what?
I'll just keep it and then I'll get rid of it on Monday. So I was shaving yesterday and decided, you know what? Maybe I'm just going to keep the mustache for today, see what it looks like, and then if I don't like it after the show, I'll just get rid of it because my facial hair grows pretty quickly. So it sounds like you're depending on feedback. You're depending on the opinions of others.
How do you feel?

Chapter 2: What influences our opinions about personal appearance?
Do you like it? Occasionally I do, but occasionally I do not. I woke up this morning and I did not. But in the summer, I do. In the summer, I think it looks better, maybe just depending on the outfits, like with a T-shirt with the mustache. And if I have my hair all styled nice, then I think it looks good.
But if everything is not in correct flow, if we're not in sync, Joe, then I don't think it looks great. All right. Somebody texted the other day or, I don't know, commented on YouTube, however they do that.
that i look when i wear this hood like marty feldman in young frankenstein do you even know of the movie limits it's an all-time classic frankenstein young frankenstein oh young frankenstein mel brooks it's the mel brooks movie no uh you should watch it i can see the resemblance i'll admit that and here's what i'm torn over what to talk about usually i'm not
But I have bunches of things that I'm passionate about and sort of have been rehearsing takes on. I know the PM guys sometimes put it out on Twitter what they want us to talk about limits. Is that what they want them to talk about? Correct? Correct. Here's your choices. Maybe we could talk about all four. There's no rule against that, is there?
Do we have to do old school sports talk where I do a Shakespearean soliloquy to open the show? I don't think so. I think we talked enough Shakespeare yesterday. I don't think I have to. We did do that, didn't we? A whole segment worth. Bob was a Shakespearean scholar, it sounds like, doesn't it? Well, I mean, Bob didn't know that restaurants weren't around in Shakespeare's time.
Yeah, maybe he wasn't. What did our friend Bob know about that? Here's what's rolling around in my head. This Belichick craft thing. Now we learn that craft's not going to be in the Hall of Fame. What the hell is going on here? They had arguably, arguably the greatest dynasty in NFL history. And neither the team owner nor the head coach can get in the Hall of Fame yet? What are we doing here?
And I realize they cheated. So maybe that's what we're doing here. We could talk about that. I'd imagine Steelers fans care about that. It may be the late, great L.C. Greenwood who benefits from that. The other thing... Of course, that's rolling around in my head.
And if you have the clips that we have of the pronunciation of this man's name, which has become one syllable in this town, it's Will Hard. Of course, Will Hard is on my mind today. Limits, it's on my mind every day. I get the sense that some people are sick of this and some people can't get enough. Is that the sense that you get? I'm really excited about Will Hard.
Yes, it is the sense that I get because obviously Steelers quarterbacks is always one of the most popular topics in all of Pittsburgh sports. The most. And it could be April 3rd and it's the most. It could be August 22nd and it's the most. Will Howard is so polarizing because there is a large percentage of the fan base that thinks he could be the guy.

Chapter 3: How is Mike Tomlin's coaching tenure evaluated?
Let's start with Ron. Ron is in the car.
What's up, guys? Hey, Joe. Hey, man. What's up? Hey, I'd like two of your points. Number one, in my opinion, Tomlin gets an A, 19 years old.
That's a heck of a job. Super Bowl. Overall body of work today, and I would put them in the exact same order you put them in, Noel Cowher, Tomlin, and I think they're all A coaches. And the other point you brought up with the Kraft-Belichick thing, is that so much the writers? I look at that as almost a parallel to the, you know, Major League Baseball. Mark McGuire, Barry Vaughn, Roger Clemens.
Here's the thing. It's not all made up of writers. A huge part of the voting committee is people like Tony Dungy and Bill Polian. In fact, Bill Polian, a lot of people viewed as the ringleader against Belichick because Belichick kicked his behind a lot, especially early in their battles and the cheating thing and everything else.
There's tons of other media, not just writers, plus ex-players and ex-coaches voting for the Hall of Fame.
And that really does skew it.
I mean, those guys should be in the hall. Just this way, in my opinion, Barry Bond should be in the hall. Major League Baseball knew what was going on. They didn't stop it.
It was good for ratings back then. Those guys definitely deserve to be in. Belichick and Kraft.
But As Mike Tomlin, what did Mike Tomlin used to say? Everybody has rewards or something, right?

Chapter 4: What are the implications of Bruce Arians' comments on Will Howard?
He mentioned him unsolicited. What was the question limits there? I don't think the question was what do you think of Will Howard? I think it was what do you think of Mike McCarthy? Right. That's what he started talking about was McCarthy. Let me hear that again. This is Bruce Arians on McCarthy and Howard. Yeah, I thought the Steelers did a great job in hiring Mike McCarthy.
Obviously, he's got a great track record offensively developing quarterbacks. I think the big hope, obviously, is to keep Aaron Rodgers for another year or two, and they have a great relationship.
So that makes it very easy, but I think he'll do a good job of developing the young guy who I think has a ton of upside, Will Howard, who I think is the future of Pittsburgh, and I think is a great hire by the Steelers. The future of Pittsburgh is Will Howard. Does that change anything about your way of thinking? It really doesn't for me in terms of this.
Some people think I think Will Howard stinks or that it's not going to turn out, whatever. I just think he's a six-round pick for a reason, and I think the hype train has gotten out of control. Am I open-minded about him? Yes. And I have to say it does open my eyes a little bit when someone of that stature
In terms of people who have worked with great quarterbacks, how many people alive have worked with more great ones than Bruce Arians? How many people currently living? Not many. No, not many. That opens my eyes a little bit, but it doesn't change my mind that whatever shortcomings Will Howard had going into the draft, he must still have.
But more importantly, I haven't seen and nobody's seen anything since that day. except he was impressive with the way he carried himself in the early days of camp. That's it. And that led me down the road of people like Greg Cosell and Dane Brugler. Dane Brugler had him ranked 135 on his top 300, a well-built athlete.
He said he sets up quickly, throws well enough to all levels, doing some of his best work on design rollouts and waggles. His aggressiveness as a passer will bite him at times. Don't you love the way they phrase things in the scouting reports? Will bite him at times. Just like Dan Campbell. Maybe it bites his kneecaps, especially when he locks into his preferred read.
His ability to get deeper into progressions will be crucial at the next level. Okay, we could read that forever. What are we really trying to say here? Bruce Feldman. He does these draft pieces for The Athletic where he quotes NFL assistants. He asked a bunch of them going into last year's draft, who's your sleeper? One guy, an offensive coordinator, said Riley Leonard.
The next guy was an NFL pass game coordinator. who said, I think Will Howard has a chance. It's hard to call a guy who just led his team to a national title a sleeper, but I don't think a lot of people are talking about him. I like the efficiency with which he operates. I kind of like McCord, Kyle McCord. He doesn't move great, but he's accurate, says another guy. But number two says Will Howard.

Chapter 5: What are the highlights from the NFL draft picks?
And you hear, with the fourth pick, the New England Patriots take offensive tackle Will Campbell. Woo! With the seventh pick, the New York Jets take offensive tackle from Missouri, Armand Membu. Man, I'm having the greatest time out here. This is incredible. They took Membu. Let's do shots with the 10th pick.
Obviously, there's going to be more excitement for receivers and quarterbacks and stuff like that than offensive linemen, Joe. It's a part of being a part of the experience, too, Joe. All right. I'm just saying why I don't want to.
Come on, Joe.
I expect better from you. More fun. With the 24th pick, the Minnesota Vikings take offensive guard Donovan Jackson. See, this is you just trying to fit your narrative by yelling out all these offensive linemen. How about the... How about just name a wide receiver? With the 15th pick, the Atlanta Falcons take Georgia linebacker Jalen Walker.
With the 26th pick, the New York Giants select Jackson Dart. I'm sure you were throwing up. If I was there for that one, yes. That's what I thought. That one I would remember.

Chapter 6: Why do some fans find the NFL draft overrated?
Of course you would remember. There are elements of excitement to watching the draft, obviously when the Steelers pick. And when there's maybe a little mystery around the first pick, which there rarely is, but by and large, it's an unbelievably overrated, boring event for what it is. I think that is a horrible take. You're more than welcome to think that limits. And I will.
And you're more than welcome to get excited when somebody drafts Tyler Booker, offensive guard from Alabama. Again, guards and tackles. How about getting excited for... Colston Loveland with the 10th pick to the Chicago Bears.
You should have seen me last year.
Or Tyler Warren or Ted McMillan to Carolina. When McMillan got drafted, it was Mardi Gras in my house. A part of it is going to be when the Steelers have the 21st pick, the buildup to the Steelers pick. Don't you think that's exciting? Yes. There's like 10 picks. The Steelers pick is exciting. Or, oh, the Ravens just jumped three picks ahead of the Steelers.
Are they going to pick who we think is on the board for them?

Chapter 7: What are the implications of drafting Will Howard?
There's elements of excitement. That's very exciting. How can you not think? You just said it's exciting. I said there are elements of excitement. Yes, which is you admitting that it's exciting. No, that would be like saying I went to a concert. No, that would be like saying I went to a concert last night and two of the songs were great and the rest of it sucked. Was it exciting overall?
No, there were little pockets of excitement. But thank you for forming my opinion for me, Limits. I appreciate it. With the 19th pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Emeka Abuka, wide receiver, Ohio State.
Yeah, I'll never forget where I was for that either.
I wanted the Steelers to take that guy. With the 30th pick, the Buffalo Bills take Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky, and then all the Bills fans act like they know who he is. Well, now it just sounds like you're trying to take out your rage on Buffalo.
No.
You're making a bad pick, and Brandon Bean should have been fired. It could be anybody.

Chapter 8: How does the Steelers' coaching staff view analytics?
It could be anybody. I just don't think it's an exciting event. Sorry. I'm sorry for that opinion. Most of the people are unknown, even by the fan bases who make that pick. And then we get to the second round, by the way. This is not the NHL draft where you've never heard of anyone. College football is probably the third most popular sport in this country.
A lot of these guys, not everyone in the first round, but a lot of them are familiar names to people, especially at the top. People know who Travis Hunter is. Of course, Travis Hunter, yes. People know who Abdul Carter is, Ashton Gentry. Yes. Colston Loveland, Tyler Warren, like Emeka Abuka. Like Amari and Hampton. Kelvin Banks. People know who they are. Michael Williams. Jackson Dart.
Tyler Booker. Kenneth Grant. Jalen, well, maybe him. Like I said, not every single one. And then the second round happens, Limits. You going to be pumped for that? Travion Henderson. Oh, my word. New Orleans traded up for Tyler Shuck. The things that you get excited about, not necessarily everybody else does.
You know what?
Maybe because I'm a nerd, but this is a football crazed town that I think is going to throw a party bigger than Mardi Gras when the draft is here. That's beside the point of whether I want to go to the... It is completely beside the point whether I want to go to it or not. The party also is separate from the actual draft. You asked me... I think it's looped in together.
You asked me about the draft. Tell me about the second round and how exciting it is. We're going to talk about the draft for how many days, weeks, and months leading into it. That means it's very exciting. It does?
That means it's exciting to us, yeah.
We're going to talk about who the Steelers are going to take in the second round. And it's exciting to our listeners because our listeners like to call in and chime in and talk about it.
About third and fourth round picks? I don't know.
