And we'd obviously already recorded on Friday, so we've been listening, we've been watching what people are saying, and these songs have really blown up a whole bunch of drama. Some people love them. Some people think she's a fraud. Yeah, that we're gonna get into that. Um, we're gonna get into who some of the secret lyrics might be. might be about. There's a lot to unpack. But first, can I hit you with some movie news as a movie nerd that I must discuss? That I must discuss.

So a little while ago it was confirmed that Tom Holland, Spider-Man himself, would be playing the role of Fred Astaire in the upcoming movie about his life.

Me too. I love him and he can tap dance, so we're in, we're going. Yeah,
exactly. So if anyone's not fr uh Crossfred's stair, boy do I have a movie list for you. He was like an iconic old Hollywood star, but known for his incredible dancing and his singing, but most of all being known as a dancer.

And a bit of a jerk behind the scenes if you kind of get into some of the backstories. When Tom Holland was confirmed to play him, some people like me were very excited. Some people just thought, oh, this is just Hollywood putting just whatever big star they have into this role. Is he the right person to play Fred Astaire? I think kind of forgetting that Tom Holland, yes, is an Avenger, but also he grew up doing Broadway, like professional Broadway. And so he can dance, he can sing. He can act. He can act. And he's very passionate about playing Fred. But I also understand how some like die hard fans of like that golden age of Hollywood were thinking, like, was he the best person? Or is it just like attaching a big name?
Yeah. And instead of doing like an audition process or anything like that, we'll just get the one of the the highest paid actors in the world to do it. And it's sure to get people to see the movie. to see the movie.
And to an extent, yes, it is a big name. Unfortunately you need a big name attached to get a movie going, like obviously. But also of all the big names is the best one.
Oh yeah. Possible choice to do that. He's a proper trained dancer, as you said, like not just the um umbrella video. Although, hey, he's great dancer. And he tap dances in that. And he's a great dancer in that. And he opens with a singing in the rain moment. Yeah. Um, so th that was announced a while ago, and so I think people have come to terms with it for now, better or worse, that Tom Holland will be Fred Astaire. Um, but this week, over the weekend, we had confirmation who else would be in the movie because there were two big um Parts for actresses up for grabs in this movie. And there's been a lot of chat over who would get to play them because this is going to be one of those like potential Oscar kind of like big budget movies.
And so over the weekend it was confirmed that Margaret Qually will play Adele Astaire. So that's Fred's older sister and also his Broadway partner.
