Because we have the juiciest recommendation in the world at the end of this. And look, yes, is it the biggest movie in the world? Yes. Is it breaking records? Yes. Does it have every star in the world in it? Yes. Except for Timothee Chalamet. No, he's not in it. Oh, my God. That's why he's trying to go off and get photo ops of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. He's like to Tom Holland, it should have been me. Obviously, we're talking about the Odyssey. So the point of my little spiel there was to say, you think you know about the Odyssey, but you haven't heard us talk about the Odyssey.
Oh, get ready. Can I bag talking about what happens? The plot? Not the full plot.
I would actually love to hear you say the plot of the Odyssey, since you sometimes struggle to say the plot of like a general rom-com that you've watched a thousand times.
But I really want to also convince you that we need to do a brutally honest review. Okay. Hey, you don't need to convince me.
Okay, anyway, before we get to our Odyssey review, what else do you have for the people to watch this week?
Oh, I want to recommend like a show that I feel like is perfect for me. Oh, wow. It's got action. It's got comedy. It's got mystery. It's called Ride or Die. It's on Prime Video. Oh, yeah. It stars Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer. Oh, sold. So good. Of those two actresses, love them both. I've never seen chemistry like this on a screen before. Wow. The chemistry between these two women is brilliant. So they play best friends, Judith and Debbie, and they know everything there is to know about each other, except it is found out that Judith is actually an assassin. Huge. Huge.
That's like finding out your friend doesn't eat cheese or something.
You're like, we can't be friends. Debbie's like, what the hell? I thought our biggest issue in life was figuring out this new age and how everyone talks to us now that we're 50-something-year-old women. But it's so fun. It's very fast-paced. I do have to admit, I've only watched one episode, even though all eight episodes have dropped. Because I watched this one episode last night, I was like, I know. Because you know what kind of person I am. I am going to binge this show. I actually need to save it for the weekend. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you do. And do a proper binge. But anyway, these two women, they go on the run after like a mysterious figure who we don't know is chasing after them. So they're running from the figure while still trying to figure out who that person is and what they want with them.
It is so bloody funny. But it's one of those TV shows where you're not there to learn anything. There's no hidden message. You're just there to have a good time. Which is all I want at the moment. It's just like really great TV. And so far, everything I've seen on the internet, like rave reviews.
Oh, I love that. We also interviewed Hannah and Octavia for I Didn't Personally. I'm so sad. I was with my stupid family. But we interviewed them for Mamma Mia. So I'll link that interview in the show notes. It's just kind of like they're so interesting to listen to about how they shape the characters and why they wanted to do the show.
Yeah, it's just really good TV.
Okay, on Prime Video. On Prime Video, Ride or Die. So I also have a new show to chat about that's just dropped on Prime Video. And I want to preface this by saying this is less of a recommendation and more of a PSA or more of just be aware. Just be aware. Okay. Jeez. So on paper, everything about this show is perfection. It's based on a beloved popular book, like a really fun, fast-paced beach read. It's starring Anya Taylor-Joy. I love that one. Incredible actress. Can really anchor a show or a movie.
