Claudia Oshry 0:04

Jackie Oshry 0:05
the tall It's Jackson Claud and we're your host. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Thursday. I hope everybody's having a great second half of the week. We made it. Congrats to the grads.
Claudia Oshry 0:32
Grads. It's Thursday. Exciting stuff.
Jackie Oshry 0:35
Very exciting. Is there something you want to say to me?
Claudia Oshry 0:39
I like your yellow sweater.
Jackie Oshry 0:41
Well, thank you. But no. Is there something you'd like to wish me? A happy anniversary. Yes, it's my ninth wedding anniversary. I got breakfast in bed this morning. I almost forgot. Like I knew it was gonna be the next day, but then I woke up, I wasn't thinking about it, and bed was gone. It's like, where the hell is he? Then he comes in with this steaming plate of French toast. Great way to start the day.
Claudia Oshry 1:02
That's really cute. Happy nine year anniversary. That's a lot of years actually for a girl who's only twenty-five.
Jackie Oshry 1:10
So true. For a child bride. And you know what? It doesn't feel like that many years because every time it turns like our anniversary, I start saying we've been married for ten years. And
Claudia Oshry 1:21
now you're like, wait, we haven't even been married ten years.
Jackie Oshry 1:23
I thought for sure this was like our eleventh wedding anniversary. So to hear it's only nine. I don't know, I'm not impressed. Yeah. Are you guys doing anything fun to celebrate? Well, you know, Mama's gotta work this evening, but I've turned my work event into a romantic evening for two. Oh, how romantic. Yes, no, actually it is. I have to go to I'm going to an event for work, but it's so Ben software coated. Okay. That he is my plus one and I think he'll have a better
Claudia Oshry 1:50
time than me. Would he not have been go if it's so Ben coated and you have a plus one, would he not have been going with you like even if it weren't your anniversary? Why don't you just be quiet? Oh, sorry, sorry. Why don't you just be quiet? I just it's hard for me. I guess if I knew more details, like I could I could picture it.
Jackie Oshry 2:08
I technically am bringing him to a work event, which obviously on its face doesn't sound very romantic of me. But once you learn more about the event, which I'll tell you guys all about tomorrow, I'm not in the business of telling people where I'm going and when. Um, I will you'll understand me more tomorrow. Tune in tomorrow. And do you guys do presents on your anniversary? Well, I don't do presents period. Like I don't buy presents for Ben. Um and I just know maybe how old is he? Thirty How old are you? Thir he's thirty four. Three bents older than you? His birthday's before mine. He's born in April. Oh, you're November, right? You haven't turned 34 yet. Okay, yeah. So Ben's thirty-four. And so I don't buy Ben presents.
Jackie Oshry 2:49
It's just not in my nature. Um, 'cause like what can you get for a guy? Like, all they really want is a watch. And so I know that maybe in a in an upcoming, maybe our 10 year anniversary, or maybe his 35th or 40th birthday, I will be on the hook for an enormous watch. And it will be an accumulation of gifts from Valentine's Day, anniversaries, birthdays that I I literally have not gotten him a gift for it in the last 10 years. So I'm starting to save for that. But is he getting you a gift for your anniversary? And then Ben is the total opposite. Like gift giving is his love language. He does not stop buying me gifts. I'm literally begging him, like, stop. I don't need more. And I'm sure I have a gift coming my way.
Jackie Oshry 3:25
I told him to spend no more than $300 and he like laughed in my face. So not I know this is like a for like a obnoxious problem to have, but it does like I don't need presents and I don't want like when I want something, I'll let you know. But until then, like don't waste your money on me and on on silly number nine. There's nothing that you're pining for in the world. Just like a breast reduction and like things he can't give me currently. Things he can't give me. Yet
Claudia Oshry 3:50
I understand. I understand.
Jackie Oshry 3:53
Uh, the things I want most in this world can only be given to me by the Lord.
Claudia Oshry 3:57
Yeah. You know?
