Hey, it's Tony. On today's show we will go around the NFL with Jason Lock and Fora and we will get our weekly football picks from James Carble and Jeff Ma. But first, commerce. Превіслі анатоні Корнезершо. I can't even express my pride at the potatoes that the three of us helped with. Yeah. Yeah. We all did it. Keeps you going through the long winter. It was really I still have, I have enough for two meals. I've eaten about I've had enough for about six meals and given bunches away. So we're
rationing at this point.
Well no, I mean I I y the potatoes have been there for you and every time I mention it to you, you look at me and you say enough with the potato Not only that, I went out and got other potatoes. Yes, you d you didn't want my potatoes. Our potatoes. I I
The Tony Korniser show is on now.
Took a night off from potatoes last night. You deserve it. Yeah, took a night off. I've been working hard.
Yeah,
you switched the high volume rice. Um I did. I got rice last night. Uh we had Chicken pot pie. Oh. Love chicken. I'm not a big fan. I mean it's okay. On a co on a sauce is there was very few pieces of chicken in the chicken pot pie. Do you like the crust? And a lot of crust. I I occasionally eat a piece of the crust. No, I I I don't care about it. I don't care about it. I like it if it's soaked in the chicken sauce, but when it's a hard crust and other people really like it that way, I don't. Do you? Not really. That's why I
Just do like a deconstruct one, get a rotisserie chicken, put in some frozen veggies, that's tip some broth, add in a little bit of flour, make a little roux out of there, and then just puts like biscuits on top.
Well I I wouldn't even eat the biscuits. I don't care about that. I like it on rice. I like everything on rice. Rice. I like rice. Yeah, everything on rice is okay. Or noodles. I like rice, I like noodles. Extra wide. Extra wide egg noodles. Absolutely. Not the curly noodles. The flat noodles. Never the curly, yeah. Flat noodles. Okay. A couple of things to talk about. Let us go quickly. to the baseball, all the wild cards are now sought after that had been sought after are filled. In the National League, San Diego, Philadelphia, and the Chicago Cubs have clinched wild cards. We don't yet know who will play whom. We don't yet know that. That will happen in a while. In the American League, the Yankees, the Red Sox, and the White Sox have clinched.
The only thing that's left open is the winner of the American League West, which will either be Houston or Texas. I believe Houston owns the tiebreaker between them. So if they are tied, and they are tied now at seventy nine and eighty, which is a ridiculously bad record to be a playoff team. But if they are tied, Houston will get that and not Texas. They both play lousy teams for the next three games. I believe Houston plays the athletics, and I believe that Texas plays Minnesota. So th there's no there's no particular advantage. And they do the same start for the last game, right? The timing just to Yeah. They should. Every game, you're going to be able to do that. They should. You should not in real time you should have to compete and not know what's going on or not get any advantage.
I assume they're going to do that, but I'm I'm not certain. I assume that they would do that. So that's that's what we have there. Um uh d just uh parenthetically I will add that I agree with Craig Counsel that the Cubs are getting hosed a little bit by the Nor'easter in Boston. Which is causing the Cubs to play the Red Sox Two games today. So you have to move up pitching. Well, so do the Red Sox have to move up pitching. Um, but you have to take into account that they have postponed well they haven't postponed, they've done away with the Sunday game. Their figuring is that the Sunday game is a complete washout because of the Nor'easter. And as I said on the PTI show yesterday, this is television. The only people on television who are wrong more often than Wilbon and I are are weather forecasters.
So if it becomes a beautiful day on Sunday in Boston and there's no game, and the Cubs, for example, have lost an invented doubleheader today.
