welcome to reality recap i'm your host nick joined by the lovely household uh sierra is back suzy's here mary just it's a full household natalie says hello she is uh thriving at home with the babies and sends her love and uh i think she'll pop in soon hopefully uh we have a jam-packed episode lots to get into almost too much we had the just absolute bananas ultimatum reunion oh my god but it made like the finale almost like really pointless to watch yeah yeah because like everyone everyone got engaged but it's like next episode everyone's broken up not everyone uh congratulations to um david and casey david and casey monica and luke and luke
The couples that I was like, yeah, they might work out, did work out. And the ones that I was like, I can't believe you're getting engaged.
You know, they got God on their side. So like, you know, they seem like they were.

But David, I feel like, listen, I love as a progressive man.

I emphasize the word progress. And what I love is people who make fucking progress. It's not interesting to be like, yeah, no, I had a great childhood. David seems like he's really been through some stuff. And while he maybe showed some cracks throughout this season, as reality TV stars do, he seems like he's making progress. And that I find to be uplifting.
So shout out to David. I never think these shows are actually made for like lasting relationships even for the couples who do last I'm like there's really nothing in my opinion I'm like there's nothing you can get from this but I will say the conversation that he had with Madison's dad I actually think that probably benefited him and his relationship and I'm like wait that you're changing my mind a little bit that this show actually might help people stay together
I think people on these shows, The Ultimatum, Love is Blind, Age of Attraction, Love Island, The Bachelor, I mean, it fucks you up in a way that if you want, to like, you know, do something about it, you can definitely learn about yourself for sure. You can make some meaningful changes. It will certainly, like we talked about with Love Island, like movie night, it will literally shine a mirror about like how you come across, you know, who you are. And if you are open to not blaming the edit and the producers for every little thing that you don't like, it is an opportunity for some growth.
And I also think they kind of take out the big struggle for a lot of people with just like the ring and getting to that place and figuring out the why. And it's never the right time where I'm like, I do think those types of shows where it's like, hey, we're going to provide you a ring in an environment to like test the relationship, I guess, is the term of it. But like, yeah, we're like ordinarily you're not going to be in a relationship where you get to go and date or have a trial marriage with a complete stranger that you happen to be attracted to and see what happens.

personally not for me but like i do commend because you have to be a strong little type of person or really need that test to be able to sign up for a show like this and then be like okay no harm no foul yeah because i'd be like what the fuck was that yeah it sounds like it ruined a lot of the relationships for that reason yeah it also sounds like there were some relationships that i wanted to know a lot more about during the show
