In a culture so quick to medicate, what do we miss when we don’t pause to listen to what the body is asking? Perimenopause and menopause have become huge topics of conversation — but often in a very narrow way. So much of what we hear is fear-based and focused on managing symptoms… what to take, what to do, how to make it easier, how to avoid discomfort. But what if that’s only a small part of a much bigger picture — one that includes the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of this transition? In this episode, Leila and I explore menopause through a wider lens — one that sees the body not as something failing, but as something adapting, shifting, and responding to a lifetime of experiences, patterns, and pressures. This isn’t about dismissing medical support — far from it.
