So the for those that have been following, Macklemore was using and explicitly stated the purpose of him being on tour was to protest Israel uh and for Palestine. Robert Kraft has now released a statement. Ed Shearn has released a statement. Everybody is uh I don't know how to describe it. I just It is it is absolutely wild to me.
But let me let me just go back. Uh I think Tate was saying this, you know, look, you get your you get your periods, right? We had Black Lives Matter. The woke were like, we demand you put up a black square on your profile. And people did. And now it's, you know, Israel is the new issue. But to be fair, like Israel was an issue for a while anyway. And I'm just sitting here being like, I get Black Lives Matter. You know, like when the left comes out and they're like, we got a problem with racism in the United States. Then there's a debate over like just how racist this country is, if at all, and whether like policing is racist or whatever. I get all of that. You know, because we as a country have things to discuss.
And maybe they're wrong, maybe they're right. But the point is. Americans being like, hey, we've got an issue in American politics makes a lot of sense. Now, don't get me wrong, there is an issue with the US funding of Israel. I think most people, younger than boomers, are like, either we should not be giving money to Israel or they just plum don't like Israel at all. That's that's an understatement.
