And honestly, that is exactly where Satan wants you. Stuck in fear, anxiety, stress and overwhelm. John 10:10 tells us that Satan is a thief. He wants to steal our joy and our peace. We know our fire seasons won’t last forever even though sometimes it feels like they will. Staying in God’s word, listening to worship music, continually communicating with God WILL strengthen you to persevere through the trials. In Phil 3:10 Paul reminds us that we gain something greater when we go thru our trials…. A special closeness with Jesus. So I believe THIS is what he refers to when Paul says that we should rejoice in our trials. 1 Pt 4:12-13 So if you are walking through a fire today, hold on tightly to Jesus, don’t give up and turn away from him because it’s been going on too long. Our time isn’t God’s time. Perhaps God is showing you it is time to deal with some unresolved trauma that you have been putting off. Only you and God know. But God is merciful and faithful to His children. Always. I hung onto to these verses I will be sharing when I was going through my 3 year "fire" and I can honestly say that my relationship with the Lord was forever changed because of that season in my life. When we walk through the fires of life if we stay connected to our source then we will come out stronger on the other side. And deepen our relationship w/the Lord in the process. Painful? Absolutely.
