Jai Arrow, friend of Triple M, he's been in here numerous times and just everyone in the world of rugby league loves him. But he has, unfortunately, had to medically retire after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
Mate, I'm lost for words. Yeah, kind of. It's a bit hard to talk about because I've seen it firsthand in my family. And, yeah, for how old, Jai? 30. 30. And, yeah, I don't know what to say. It's tragic. Part of me wishes or hopes that it's just the wrong diagnosis. But, yeah, it's tough to take, for sure. I don't know Jai that well. But, yeah, for someone so young with a young family, it's really sad.

Yeah, I actually just, it actually makes me really like upset for him because like, you know, he's got a little baby. I think he's about to get married. He's about to, like he just, his world's just been literally shattered. Can you just like imagine hearing it? Like that's what, it actually like makes me feel a bit sick. Like you said, you don't really know what to say, but all we can say is, you know, what he's done during his career. He's represented Queensland and done some amazing things. One thing I do know is I was actually speaking to someone about him before. He really liked to give back to charity, but not do it for the wrong reasons. He actually really liked to give back. And now to know that, yeah.
Sucks, man.
Sucks. It's heartbreaking. Heartbreaking. He's a legend. He's come in here triple M heaps and always super bubbly, kind to everyone, just a champion human being. And he's got a one-year-old kid, man. That's so sad. It's just awful. Credit to South Sydney. Apparently they've known this since pre-season and they kept it in within the club and made sure it didn't get out at all. So that's credit to them. You would have played against him a fair bit. Any memories going up against him on the field? Oh, just tough, man.
And you know what? I used to... Rugby league is obviously a serious game, but he didn't take it too seriously. He had a muck around and even with the media, he was always mucking around and I like that type of player.
