Triple M footy lives on, listener. Thanks to McDonald's and Ream Hot Water. Here we go. We've got a game on our hands. The NRL is on Triple M. How about that? And we've got all the goss. Behind the scenes news on and off the field. From press conferences to inside the locker rooms.
I love being a part of it. I'm learning to feel real at the moment. It's a tough game to play. It must be responsibility.
A really good chance. On Triple M, this is NRL Daily.
Welcome to Triple M NRL Daily here on your Wednesday. It's State of Origin. Is it just a week away now? I was going to say an eve, but what do you call it when you're... Is there a phrase for just a week away or is that it? No, it's just a countdown, Charlie. The countdown's on. They're getting in camp, trying to get the nerves out, doing all the interviews. It's just a countdown. Yeah, we've got you here alongside us, Adam Pangilli, the great Adam Pangilli. And we've got Danny Wyler joining us on Riverside from New South Wales State of Origin camp. How are you, brother? I'm happy to see you two blokes. And, yeah, I've just come back from training. Yeah. I will say it must be strange for you sitting on this side of the desk because obviously you're more of a podcast host these days.
You did a great job with the immortal Andrew Johns on that fantastic podcast. How did you find hosting, Danny? I thought you did an incredible job.
Charlie, you are so full of crap, honestly. Yeah. Mate, first we forgot to say how it's your favourite podcast. I thought it was Reedy and Co yesterday, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was fine. Look, I got through it. It's not my go, but I was happy to do it with the great Joseph Jones.
What an honour. He's an absolute superstar of the origin arena, but the guy who's going to be wearing a jersey that he made famous in State of Origin, the halfback jersey, Mitchell Moses, Danny, he didn't train today. Is that correct? Well, Mitchell Moses is a 5'8", Charlie. Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah, dumb.
Dumb am I. I wasn't going to say anything. Sorry, I'll redo that. I'll redo that. I'll redo that. No, you're not redoing anything. I'll redo that. You're not redoing anything. You leave that in, please, because it's HIA time for you. Hosting too many podcasts, too much of a start. You've just got to remember that Nathan Cleary plays halfback. Mitch Moses. Yeah, remember him?
I do, mate. You know, the only thing is I was just trying to find a segue to move on into Mitchell Moses and it just didn't really work.
You don't always have to be smooth, Charlie. No, you're right.
It definitely hasn't been smooth to start this show.
Concerning signs at New South Wales, look, neither Mitchell Moses or Casey McLean were training. Now, I thought I get confused by all this. I thought we're supposed to see Mitchell do something today, something. But, you know, he did nothing. And unless he's going to do some stuff after training, I've returned to do this podcast. But when I tried to stay as long as I could and they were wrapping up. So interesting that he did nothing. And the other was Casey. Casey turned up in his sneakers. And that's always a sign they're doing absolutely nothing. He had strapping on his ankle, not heavy strapping, but there was strapping there. And he hasn't been moving freely, I have to say that. The word I keep getting...
is that Mitchell Moses will be okay. They're confident. But tomorrow, Adam, you might have to come up here too, hang from some trees, try and find a secret spot because actually you can see it from the road because tomorrow's a big day. Mitchell Moses needs to be at least running to some degree at full speed, that is, at least for some of the session. But the Blues keep on telling me that they're confident that He'll be fine. We spoke to Nathan Cleary today about it. He didn't seem to have any great, not a huge insight to it. And, you know, I'm anticipating he's going to run full pelt tomorrow or we're going to be seeing more reshuffling in a team that's already had significant reshuffling. And I want to see Casey McLean training too.
