Welcome to Triple M NRL Daily. It is the Journos show. It is an Origin Review special. As always, we've got Danny Weidler, Adam Pangilli, and today, Lachie Pringle filling in for Charlie White. Boys... I mean, there's no shortage of stuff to talk about after game one last night. We've got, I guess, an easy job today to break it all down. And I can't, you know, Charlie does tell me this is his favourite. Who's Charlie? He says this is his favourite gig every week. I can't believe he's missed this after Origin. He says that on every podcast he does.
Charlie is a schmoozer and he spins a lot of crap.
He was with Reddy in Riccio on Tuesday and said, this is my favourite day of the week, my favourite journos, and he says that to us the next day as well.

He was good enough to chat. And usually in most situations, Danny, you've been around enough to know that players will go hide in the corner and won't want to speak. But once the charge came out, he agreed to chat to a few journos. He actually didn't even know, Lockie, that he was sent off until someone in the sheds told him they'd been sent off.
That's crazy. He thought he was 10 in the bin. He was confused. He thought it was 10 in the bin and sent for a HIA to get himself checked as well.
Did he have an HIA, I wonder? I wonder how he is because, I mean, he's sort of claiming it was a head clash. Yeah. I wonder if that's going to have some repercussions down the track.
There was certainly no information that I had in the sheds last night in the Queensland rooms that he had gone through a HIA or failed that HIA. What I can say is that he was standing there talking to a few reporters with blood still dripping from his ear down on his chest. And he was saying, well, I had a head clash with Tolu Kola. and that is correct, but I also think there was a pretty fair case to say that his shoulder made some sort of contact as well. So it was a huge call, Danny, but I agree with it. I think it had to be a send-off.
I was watching it actually on the sideline, and the instant I saw it, I thought send off. And then I watched replays and I still thought send off. And I know there's argument against it, but for mine, it was fairly clear. And I actually think Kalen's probably lucky he didn't get a suspension out of it. And we have to explain that because they changed the rules around that for Origin that basically if you get a grade two, I think it is, it's a fine in Origin.
