I was hired in two thousand and two.
And um prior to being a school resource officer, can you walk us through the different positions you held at Largo Police Department?
Uh I started in uniform patrol in two thousand and two and I served as a field training officer. I was on the agency SWAT team. Um Uh officer safety instructor, uh, did a variety of things for 15 years. And then I was moved to I moved to the investigative services division. Um at fi at the fifteen year mark, investigated financial crimes for a few years and then moved over to the crimes against persons unit.
Okay. So were you employed with Fargo Police Department back in March uh of twenty twenty three?
Yes.
What division were you assigned to back on the twenty first of March?
Crimes Against Persons.
Okay. And uh back on this day, did you respond to fifteen oh one South Belcher Road in response to what was initially believed as to be a missing person?
Yes, ma'am, I did.

And when you first arrived, did you uh know it would later turn into a homicide investigation?
Not when I first got there.
So what was your role when you first got there?
Uh the first thing that I was assigned to do was identify people that had uh that were working at Renati and the Tampa Bay veterinary specialists, um, interview those people, find out when they got to work, uh, how they got into the building, where they had been in the building, and if they had noticed anything that seemed unusual to them that day. Do you recall what time you got there? I don't recall the specific time.
Okay. How long were you at the locker like at that property for?
I wound up staying there until uh the early hours of the next day.
Um After you conducted those interviews, did you uh make any attempts to look for surveillance video?
I did,
yes. Okay. And where did you do that?
So we checked Uh the businesses surrounding that address, uh I remember going to the little pub. They had a camera that was facing Belcher Road, but it was blurred out by the sun. Uh wound up going to Profusion Welding and located some video of interest there.

Um Was uh additional surveillance located by other members of Largo Police Department? Yes. And did all that surveillance footage um help lead Largo Police Department to the home of Dr. Tomas Gazowski? Yes. And was a search warrant obtained for his home?
Yes.
That was at five eleven C View Drive in Turpin Springs.

And do you recall um it was served on the twenty third of March, right?
I think so, yes.
Do you recall around what time?
I don't remember what time it was. Um I I I can't remember.
Daytime or like uh daytime hours or nighttime hours?
I I'm sorry, I don't remember. The last time I remember being at that residence was in the evening. Um we were in the process of obtaining the search warrant, I think, at that point, and I was staged at a perimeter in the neighborhood 'cause we were uh uh concerned that he was coming back to his residence.
Okay. And um so your role when you were at the property was to work the perimeter?
Correct.
And um you said that you were you guys thought that he was coming back to his residence. Why did you all think that?
There was a plate reader hit uh on his vehicle traveling back in that direction.
Was that off the Tamami Trail heading west?
