36. [Part Two] Breaking Bogeys Workshop: Do You Have a Goal to Break 100 or Break 90 this Season?

04 May 2023

Description

Download the Breaking Bogeys Workbook HERE.  You can also watch the workshop on YouTube HERE.  Justin Klemballa does a deep dive into making better contact with the ground, explaining how to avoid fat shots and train yourself to take a divot in front of the golf ball.  He breaks down the four steps to improving your swing, covering how to shorten your backswing, stay on plane all the way through the swing, and create a mental plan to stay consistent with each and every shot.  Key Highlights ·      The biggest technical problem golfers struggle with, if they have bad contact, is not realizing where the divot is supposed to be. Your club bottoms out and hits the ground with every golf club in your bag except your driver and your putter. Every other club should hit the ground slightly in front of the ball. Hitting the ground before the ball is called a “fat shot”, and it saps energy that would have otherwise gone into the ball. ·      What causes the ground to be struck behind the ball is when the golfer’s weight is distributed evenly (50/50 on each leg) or their weight is too much on the back foot. Get your weight (around 70-80%) into your left side prior to the moment of impact. ·      The four areas golfers must work on to improve their swing, in order of priority, are: to hit the ball more consistently, to hit the ball straight, and to hit the ball farther. ·      To help shorten your backswing, your body and arms should stop turning at the same time. Eliminate the tendency to continue swinging your arms after your body stops swinging.  *NEW* May 2023: Breaking Bogeys Coaching Membership Details  Justin Klemballa Instagram YouTube Subscribe to our FREE Female Golfer Facebook Group:
