Avsnittet i sig är någon minut längre än våra vanliga och hela samtalet kommer att vara på engelska. Vi kommer här att få möta den italienska socialarbetaren Gjulia som nu jobbar på Noomi i Malmö. Noomi är en verksamhet inom Hela Människan som erbjuder stödinsatser för personer som utnyttjas i människohandel för sexuella ändamål eller prostitution. Detta avsnitt av Tusen Röster kommer alltså att beröra ämnen som prostitution, våldtäkt och människohandel. Utöver det kommer samtalet även att belysa den ökade utsattheten för bl.a. transsexuella kvinnor i sexindustrin, fattigdom och desperation samt polisens roll och Sveriges lagar kring sexhandel. Gjulia kommer att berätta mer om Noomis otroligt viktiga arbete men också dela vidare några av de historier hon själv fått höra från de människor hon möter genom verksamheten. --- In this episode of our podcast Tusen Röster (A Thousand Voices) we meet the Italian social worker Gjulia who now works for Noomi in Malmö. Noomi is an organization within Hela Människan that offers support for people who are, or have been, exploited in human trafficking for sexual purposes or prostitution. This episode of the podcast will, in other words, touch upon topics such as prostitution, rape and human trafficking. In addition to this, the conversation will also cover the increased vulnerability of transsexual women in the sex industry, poverty and desperation as well as the police's role and the laws in Sweden regarding the buying and selling of sexual favors. Gjulia will talk more about Noomi's incredibly important work but also share some of the stories that she herself has heard from the people she meets through the organization.
