Here's a crazy story, bro. This is funny actually as well. This is a good note for people that are on social media to make sure you're getting the accountant because you can't run from the tax man. So that's what happened, bro. My mum wasn't good with money. Never taught me what money was. So obviously I grew up not being good with money either. Especially saving and paying tax.

Bro, exactly, bro. We had no idea. No idea. But they need to teach you this shit in school, man. 100%. 100%, man. 100%. It's such a bloody scam, eh? This bloody fucking system they've got going on.
I remember when I first made Manus, I thought all of it was mine. Same. But fucking at least 20 to 30% of that belongs to the government. Whoa, that's crazy, eh?
So yeah, when I started making some good money, I wanted to buy a house, you know? Yeah. Trying to do it better for my family. Yes. And what's crazy is that not many people in my family buy a house. So I wanted to break the cycle. I was like, man, you can do it.

Because once I saw I could do it, I was like, bro, I can do it. That really drove me. So I got an accountant, right? And then I was like, oh, I've never had an accountant before. And I've been doing my own work since 2013. That's like 2018, by the way, now, like five years. And she's like, oh, okay, how did you pay tax all the years before? And I was like, oh, I didn't. And she is like, oh, okay. And bro, after like weeks of work, end up filing out an OID, 200 grand plus, bro. Oh, fuck. And it's crazy, bro. And I'm like, I'm just, bro, my door dropped, bro. I don't even, I've literally, like, just got under that in my bank, but that was my house deposit, bro. Fuck. And so I'm sitting there going, oh, but that's my house deposit, though.
And then they're like, yeah, you have to pay this tax bill before you can get a house. And I went... And my wife's just like, fuck, you dumbass.

And I'm just like, man, like I kind of knew this was going to happen, but I didn't really know it was going to happen. And so it went away though, like real gutted, but at the same time motivated, bro. Because I sat in the car, literally outside my accountant's business. And I went, but babe, if I pay this, and I make that money again, we can get a house. And she went, yeah, but how long is that gonna take? And I was like, give me fucking three months. Because the biggest payment I ever got from YouTube was 70 grand, and that was that month.
