Ep. 180: Michael Hitchcock (Actor/Writer/Producer) From his critically acclaimed roles in film and television to his award-winning work as a writer and producer, Michael Hitchcock has been an industry standout for over 30 years.Michael currently recurs in Sterlin Harjo’s highly celebrated FX/Hulu series “The Lowdown” starring Ethan Hawke and a rogue’s gallery of outstanding talent including Kyle MacLaughlin, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Keith David, Ryan Kieran Armstrong, Timothy Blake Nelson, Killer Mike, and Peter Dinklage. Hitchcock plays Hawke’s friend “Ray,” a Tulsa antique dealer who often helps Hawke in his passionate quests to expose perceived corruption.Daniel Fienberg of The Hollywood Reporter writes, “For most of the supporting cast, excellence is just a matter of opportunity… Hitchcock seems like he’s just there to steal a scene or two, but the third episode, in which Ray, Lee and Francis go on a mission, he’s funny and briefly, beautifully sad.”Michael is also currently featured on the hit Netflix comedy series “Nobody Wants This” starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. He is an alumnus of the Los Angeles comedy and improvisational troupe The Groundlings, and also tours with the improv troupe Theme Park.
