Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This is a Global Player original podcast. Like, really? Really? Is that happening? What? Seriously? Fucking ASMR gone wrong. It took four seconds. I just, I just texted him and I said, well, you record and I'm going to do something to it. I'm going to see how long it takes you to say something. I hadn't even done the second sip. But it's like, like I'm on the phone with Leah and she's clapping.
I was like, no, no, no. And it's like, I'm in her shopping bag. And then she starts singing. I was like, can you hear your voice when you sing? Like, do you know how bad you are at singing? Yeah. Did you ever see Ant and Dec? Did you ever see Ant and Dec when they did it? And Ant was stirring the tea for ages and whacking the mug.
And Dec just sat there, but he sat there for absolutely ages and he didn't say anything. You, you little bitch, said something after one second. I'm highly sensitive. For someone that's hard of hearing, I am highly sensitive to it. Hello and welcome to the bonus episode of Vogue and Amber the podcast. We have to, and I know you're not going to like this Amber because you like saving stuff.
We've got to talk about the Brits. No! No, by the time it goes out, the next ep, it will be over and the Brits are done. We're not talking about it. The Brits are happening. I don't have anything else to talk about then. Let's talk about the Brits, baby. Let's talk about you and me. Let's talk about me and you at the Brits. Oh my God, maybe I will win a Brit award one year.
Well, Amber nearly won an award that night. Oh, here we go. She won an award for the drunkest girl at the table. Ah, listen. At our table. Come on, you were the drunkest at our table. I don't know if I was. I think there was another strong contender at the table. Did your bum touch ground... Oh, the sloth dropping happened. Oh, sorry. What do we call it? We can't call it sloth dropping.
What can we call it? Amber, you have to call it falling. You fell. You didn't sloth drop. You fell. I tripped over that skirt. It was very long. And it's actually, it was very clean. Straight on our hole. Oh God, we actually, first of all, Manchester, 10 out of 10. What a place. Manchester's sick. I wish we'd been there for longer. I shouldn't, we shouldn't have gone home so early.
There is a kebab shop right opposite the hotel entrance. Devastated. And it was a lovely hotel, the Voko Hotel. And then, Imo, we were literally, I mean, less, I'd say a minute and a half from Canal Street. Wow. where queers folk remember these you shoot all the queers yeah on GAY but obviously the homophobe on the pod wouldn't go near
We had simply... She was looking for her hetero fucking march. It's an amazing show to go to though. It's like Jack Whitehall is such a... Like he just nails it. He's really funny. Sorry, his mother is hilarious. Oh, Hilary Whitehall. She is. But you know what I was saying about her?

Chapter 2: What happened at The Brits and who did the girls spot?
I was texting someone. I was texting my manager about her and I was saying she's a 10 out of 10 person. She has time for everybody. Even that pleb Amber. She's talking to her braces. LAUGHTER
that like Harry Styles opened the show I mean Ray was there Olivia Dean oh my god Rosalia who I listen I will I listen to a lot of grime and a lot of rap that's what I listen to and when I'm feeling anxious Enya I hadn't heard of Rosalia before and oh has she been out of my I know you speak fluent Spanish has she been out of my ears today not once she is so cool and then she went on stage and um
And I was like, God, this sounds very Bjork-y, doesn't it? It's very Bjork. And then I'm like looking at the stage and I was like, oh my God, is that Bjork? And it was Bjork on stage. You actually pronounce it Bjork. Bjork, yeah. Do you like a jalapeno? Jalapenino. No, it was great crack. Very, very well organized. Audi brought us, well Audi, they call it Audi over here. We call it Audi.
And like I spends away, he got us his sub three marathon. He did it in the end. He was in Japan. And so I'd been with the kids like very full on kind of week and I
I knew I was driving up to Manchester and when I got into that car, Jesus, sweet Jesus, I was just like, it's a four hour drive and I wish I could have like done a round trip and just gone back and forth because I was just sitting there. I started watching that show on Disney, Love Story. Did you start watching it Amber? Have you watched it? I've not seen it yet. Oh, you lucky bitch.
There's five episodes out and I was like ready to settle in. Now, in fairness, I'd just gone into London when I finished the fifth one. But it is like, you can't stop watching it. It's about JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette and their whole romance. And it's just, it is epic. I said to Vogue, I was like, is it a modern adaptation? She's like, no, it happened in like the 90s.
And then she was watching. I was like, but how is this music on it? Because she was watching it on her phone. I was like, how is this music? This is modern day music. I was like, no, it's set in the 90s, for God's sake. Yeah, but obviously, I was like, hardly something like that's after Just Just Be. I was like, why is it so popular again now if it was made in the 90s?
Amber, who was your favorite person that you met at the Brits? I know who your least favorite was. No, I liked everyone in equal amounts. I love Jack Whitehall's mom. Who else did you love? Pete Wicks, I really liked. He's just, he's a bit of me. I think he's a male version of me. He does kind of feel like a male version of you.

Chapter 3: What is the story behind Amber's 'slut dropping' moment?
I'd love to go on the piss with him. We've got the same length hair. Yeah, you do. He was looking well. He was. You could be close friends, good friends. We bonded after they forbid us from going out for cigarettes. What are you fucking going to do? What the fuck's going on? I don't know if I pissed off about that. I did think it was really great.
Like, getting to see a show like that, Mark Ronson, Dua Lipa, like, it's just, it's actually kind of insane that they're all in the same room at the same time. Who's the best? I loved I thought Rosalia was just so amazing when she did that like Berghain song and they were all just like raving on stage. It was just it was so amazing. Yeah, she's fab. She's right up my street.
Chapter 4: How did Vogue and Amber rate their experience in Manchester?
Obviously, I'm just now obsessed. That's all I'm listening to. And and what a treat. I was listening to her music. So I went on Spotify and just like I do all the favorites first, which are my favorites. And she did a song with Bad B'nai. Her and Bad B'nai. The obsession. The obsession continues. But I was disappointed. I thought SD Kid would be up there because obviously he's from up there.
Up north. And he wasn't. And I was a bit upset because I kind of, I think he might, I think he is Liverpoolian. He is Liverpoolian.
but I just assumed he would be there I just I don't know you know when you get it in your head you're like oh they'll be surprised they'll be surprised and he didn't you were trying to manifest it you were trying to manifest it and I tell you what Emma do not get in Vogue's way if she needs food the next morning woo I tell you a spice china there come on the fuck I need to have food I'm starving I was like
Go down without me then, okay? I did. I did. And I was happy for her too. And I tell you what, what a bitch. What's her problem? Oh my God, I'm glad to have five minutes to myself. That's why I tell you. That's why. I don't get when people wake up and they're just like, they're going about their morning. I wake up and I'm like, Jesus, where's the...
folks the one who and she just had passed the night before she is the one who woke us up at fucking 20 to 7 because she went off for a Jimmy Riddle I can't go back it was 7 it was 7 6.58 it was 6.58 you lying turd it was 6.58 and you didn't close you didn't close the curtain properly because you'd been out smoking and there was a big light gap in the curtains music
One thing I do want to say, a bit of good news that I felt this morning. Amber's quitting the pod. It's like, obviously we're in March now. It's officially spring. And one thing I noticed was, Even obviously when I was leaving here on Saturday, it wasn't raining, but then I got to Manchester, it was raining, but it was dry. No, actually it wasn't dry yesterday. It was terrible stormy conditions.
What am I talking about? But today it was bright when I was going to work. It's definitely brighter already. It's still bright out there and it's been lovely all day today. We can only be grateful and thankful we are at the lovely weather we've been dished out. I just can't believe it. I was too hot cycling into town today. I'm feeling giddy already about the summer.
I'm also in disbelief that it is March the 2nd. How is it already the third month of the year? Yeah, I know. But here's the worrying thing. Now, I don't want to, you know, I don't like to dampen everyone's mood. And I was wrong about January. Okay. I admit I was wrong about January. It's very difficult for me to admit anything, but I do agree with everyone else.
It was, it felt like two months in one month. But March sometimes has the ability to turn around and kick us right in the buttocks. Yeah. It does. That one year, March, it was snow and they had to cancel the prawn festival here. You are joking me. It was a devastating day for the parish. What a blow. Did you hear about the prawns in the UK? Oh, no. Are we talking about prawns?
