Today, we're going to wrap up our conversation by discussing data's role in your content strategy. Okay, here's my conversation with Shea Berto, the Senior Manager of SEO at Vivint Smart Home. Shea, I've really enjoyed this conversation so far, my friend. It's been really insightful. And as we prepped for this episode, just like the last episode, when you think of data and content, you guys come at it from a different perspective. And You were just giving me some examples of data's role and Vivint's content strategy. People like data. And I think people are the example that I'd use that I remember from Overstock. And this was something that we learned from Amazon. was when you show recommendations, if you just say like recommendations for you, and then you show a bunch of products, the user's like, whatever, they don't care.
Jeff Atkinson 3:33
But if you like are on a product page and you say 90% of the people that bought this or looked at this product ultimately bought this product, they'll buy that product like 90% of the time. because you're being very descriptive. So any type of recommendation title is actually more important than the products in the recommendation, the title and being very descriptive and actually telling the user what is going on. And that just reminds me of your attack plan for content. And why don't you describe that to our users?
Shae Bourdeaux 4:10
Yeah, and that's a great example you provided. So our content approach is, like you said, user people have all types of different content they can go access. They can go find similar information all across the web, like when they're doing this research journey. But I think what really speaks volumes is when you can back that up by data.
