Hello SEOs and marketers. My name is Jordan Cooney from Previsible. Joining me today is A Ton Coder, who is the co-founder and co CEO at Vimi. Vimi is a user friendly video sharing platform revolutionizing the way people connect and share content. Today, Aitan and I are going to discuss how shoppable videos increase online sales and boost conversion rates. Okay, here's my conversation with Aitan Coder, the co founder and co CEO at Vime. Hey Ton, welcome to the Voices of Search podcast.
Thank you, Jordan. It's a pleasure to be here. Really appreciate the opportunity. Looking forward to it.
Likewise. And I mean one one of the cool things um about our conversation today is that it's not like directly SEO related, but we're talking about video content, we're talking about how uh video content can scale and be useful to generate conversions, awareness, generate um obviously traffic in in in many sense, but ultimately um you know what what's really unique about this is that we're we're talking about this content medium video and video has changed a lot. Not just over the last 20 years, from the YouTube to TikTok eras, but also it's changed tremendously uh in its access to consume and utilize video in a more effective way, especially in the last say 24 to 48 months with the use of AI, the use of technology to better.
create useful video. But As as a precursor there to to our show today today, tomorrow, I I would like to know a little bit about uh Vimi and what it does, what what it help how it helps consumers. Give our listeners a little background on your technology, and then we can get a little more into like the details and the weeds on on on how video is really helping consumers today.
Yes, I mean about Vimi. So Vimi is a video commerce SaaS platform. We help online businesses leverage video to create shoppable opportunities of their products through the power of video. So video today is very effective in terms of growing sales. And video can be used not just for brand awareness or increasing impressions, but it can also be a place for conversion. Versions, okay, just more down the funnel. So we help brands associate uh just transferring videos to shoppable videos. How do we do that? Once the videos are uploaded to our platform, we are syncing product pages from existing uh businesses, e-commerce platform, or web store or website. We associate videos with the right links and the video.
Is uh from the shoppers or from the consumer's perspective, is a very interactive type of video. It might have a chat system that you can comment and ask questions. It might have a buy button or click to buy. And when you click to purchase, you will be redirected to a product page. We can create a full checkout experience, like from within the video, what we call video checkout. So videos are associated with product. Pages with web pages enabling this conversion through this click-to-play, click to buy button. And we manage not only pre-recorded video, this can be short form videos that we know very well from TikTok or Instagram reels or YouTube shorts, usually 30 to 60 seconds videos. But it can also be those longer form videos that goes probably to YouTube, but also live.
Live is very, very powerful. Within the scope of video marketing. And what we do, we do a specific version of live that we call live shopping. So think about a live event that is being promoted in advance. In some point of time, along probably the following days or following weeks, there is a special product that's been introduced or a special discount.
