Hello, SEOs and marketers. My name is Jordan Cooney from Previsible, and joining me today is Stan Golovchik, who is the Senior SEO Manager at Raisin. Raisin offers a user-friendly platform that allows consumers to easily compare and invest in various savings products, providing a convenient way to grow your savings. Today, Stan and I are going to discuss localizing content for quick wins on sister sites. Okay, here's my conversation with Stan Golovchuk, the Senior SEO Manager at Raisin. Stan, welcome to the Voices of Search podcast.
Stan Golovchuk 1:20
Thank you for having me, Jordan. It's nice to meet you in person, or virtually at least.
Jordan Cooney 1:24
Yeah, likewise. Well, hopefully we get to meet in person someday. IRLs are back in style. But super excited to record with you. First and foremost, you obviously have a rich history in the SEO industry in this space. You are working on an industry that I think is actually quite unique in the sense that, you know, Finance is one of those verticals that I like to remind folks. Google kind of isolates it as a high EAT, YMYL, whatever you want to use or call these acronyms. But essentially, there's a higher degree of authority, trust, and clean signals that you have to provide Google.

How does Raisin categorize its organic landing pages – transactional vs. informational?

Jordan Cooney 2:01
And so maybe by way of getting into our topic, you can introduce yourself to our listeners and give our listeners a little more context on Raisin, what you all do, and how you guys do SEO.
Stan Golovchuk 2:13
Sure. So I'm, yeah, I'm an SEO manager at Raise and been doing it for close to two years now. And I support the organic strategy for our US and UK websites. We have separate websites for each of our markets. And our markets not only include the United States and the United Kingdom, but we're headquartered in Germany. We have business in Ireland, France, Spain, all over the place, Austria, the list goes on. And the list is constantly growing. And really what we do is we try to match our customers with competitive interest rates from insured banks to give them more access to invest their savings. So, you know, once upon a time, if you wanted to invest in a CD here in the US, you might go to some local banks.
Stan Golovchuk 3:04
You could go to a larger retail bank like a Chase or a Citibank, but you might be limited in terms of what you could find just within driving distance. What's nice about Raisin is that we work with banks all over the country. So you can actually compare rates, not just between your local banks, but actually banks that might be smaller and based in another state, but are still FDIC insured so that you can actually chop rates against one another and find the option that's best for you to grow your money and protect your savings.
Jordan Cooney 3:34
Very cool. And I think, you know, not only is this a unique product in the sense that it sounds like it's a marketplace, right? That's exactly right. Yeah. And that makes it unique right there, right? Because it's not like you're not working at the bank. You are matching consumers with products and getting them into this platform, Raisin. And from an SEO standpoint, maybe give us a little bit of context in terms of what you all invest in, what kind of work you guys do to make this marketplace scale and grow organic traffic.
Stan Golovchuk 4:06
Yeah, well, we have essentially two categories of organic landing pages. The first category are transactional pages. So this is where someone might land if they are comparing rates for different types of bank products. And they have an intent to target keywords that are really about the product itself.
