How does Will Critchlow describe the shift from speculation‑based SEO to evidence‑driven testing?

Jordan Cooney 0:44
I'm Jordan Coon. And joining me is Will Critchlow, CEO at SearchPilot. Searchpilot is the leading SEO A-B testing platform for enterprise sites. And they just launched the industry's first GEO testing system, purpose-built for AI search. In 2026, what is the one testing aspect that you are betting on, big?
Will Critchlow 1:08
It's no surprise, it's the thing I've mentioned before, but it's the multimetrics. I think that we are betting that uh by optimizing our tests to be able to be measured against different things, that will enable people to get more insights faster, with more confidence, build better tests, make smarter decisions.
Unknown 1:28
Time for a one-minute break to hear from our sponsor, Previsible. So you're looking for SEO help, then you got a couple of options.

Why are multimetrics the key testing aspect enterprises should bet on for 2026?

Unknown 1:34
You could start replying to spam from agencies that claim they can get you to rank number one on Google. You can pay an hourly rate for a consultant who will inevitably nickel and dime you with hourly charges, or you can work with a cookie cutter agency to quickly launch a strategy-less project with low success rate. None of those sound very good. Now do they? Well, that's where Previsible's integrated consulting model comes in. Previsible draws from a collective 40 years of SEO and digital marketing experience to unlock your organic growth opportunities. They build custom solutions that combine strategy, technical expertise, content, and reporting to effectively operationalize SEO for your business.
Unknown 2:13
Previsible's four-stage approach ensures that your SEO programs thrive. By starting off with a strategy first approach.

How does SearchPilot’s new GEO testing system enable AI‑search optimization?

Unknown 2:21
Then they support you in your efforts to create quality content, help you identify technical issues, and most importantly, to work with your cross-functional teams to integrate your SEO strategies to make sure that your SEO budget actually drives results, not just your agency's bottom line. So join brands like Yelp, eBay, Canva, Atlassian, Square, all who rely on the SEO consultant. At Previsible. For more information, go to previsible.io. That's previsible P R-E-V-I-S-I-B-L-E.O.

And That then pervades everything. So we're we're doing, we're designing the tests with those multi-metrics in mind. We're ingesting metrics from many, many different sources.

What insights does segmented analysis provide for large retailers with diverse product lines?

Will Critchlow 3:06
And um the the exciting stuff that's just just starting to come out in our product right now is that it also enables things like um uh segmented analysis, which is where imagine you've got a like a a a major retailer that sells many different product lines. And you run a test that is uh that is positive across the board, but you want to be able to report on it and say, How good was it in home furnishings, how good was it in fashion, how good was it in uh whatever else it might be, kids kids' clothes? And we can do that as well because of the same technology that that powers the multimedrics.
Jordan Cooney 3:39
