Hello, SEOs and marketers. My name is Jordan Cooney from PreVisit. Joining me today is Eitan Coder, who is the co-founder and co-CEO at Vimy. Vimy is a user-friendly video sharing platform, revolutionizing the way people connect and share content. Yesterday, Eitan and I talked about how shoppable videos increase online sales and boost conversion rates. Today, we're going to continue our conversation by discussing the increased importance of video marketing in today's economic landscape. Okay, here's my conversation with Eitan Coder, the co-founder and CEO at Vimy. Eitan, welcome back to the Voice to Search podcast. Hey, thank you, Jordan. Yeah, so Eitan, yesterday we had a really exciting conversation about video, where video's going, how it's evolved over the last 10 years, but even more importantly, where it is today in helping e-commerce businesses and generally like

personal brands or anyone who's trying to promote anything online to create authentic and real content. And I think that that's super powerful message that is highly undervalued in terms of the benefit of video. So if you didn't listen to yesterday's episode, please go back and listen to the really powerful statements that Eitan has around where video is going, what's working in video, And ultimately something that I think all of us should think about deeply, which is the genuine, authentic nature that video can create for our brands and our businesses. Today though, we're kind of taking a broader lens at thing and talking about where video marketing is in today's economic landscape, right? Video has become a mainstream content source.
Jordan Cooney 2:36
It is, as you mentioned in yesterday's episode, according to Cisco, the largest source of content that's consumed on the internet today. And I wanna just get your first perspective, just generally speaking, What is video marketing to begin with, right? I mean, I want to say that 25, 30 years ago, the only thing we would have said is commercials on TV, but that's not what it is today.

How does Vimmi define video marketing as a channel for brands?

Jordan Cooney 3:02
And I'd really love your perspective on what is video marketing? How should we be thinking of it as a channel at large?
Eitan Koter 3:12
Yeah, so video marketing is the, let's say, the proportion of the various marketing activities any company is doing, focusing on the creation of video for the promotion, brand building, brand awareness and conversions of the product. So video for marketing is created in various ways. one of the ways is create creating content through creators for example what we call ugc user generated content so we know that companies are approaching like professional creators those people are can be like a production company or individuals who can create videos Those videos can be short form videos, maybe just unboxing a product or showcasing some of its unique features or a longer form of video. It can be a one hour long YouTube video explaining the nitty gritty things of the various features and functionality of that specific product.

Those videos will be handed over for the company for review and after After being approved, they will be promoted on the company's social media accounts usually. Okay, so that's the UGC type of activities. We also have video marketing that has been created by influencers. Those are individuals usually who have a lot of followers on their specific respective social media. It can be Instagram or YouTube. or TikTok these days, and there are agencies, both offline and online software companies that are providing access to these influencers.
