Chapter 1: What is the significance of Lindsay's Freedom Dinner in this episode?
Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.
Hello and welcome to Watch What Crappens, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo that we just love to talk about. This is part two of the recap. If you missed part one, go check out your podcast feed. It's right there. And without further ado, let's get right back into the recap.
So Ben's like, well, you know, she doesn't spat. She's just, like, chill. She wears a heart on her sleeve and a collar on her neck. I mean, it's perfect for me because I don't get my head ever because she's constantly reassuring me of where we're at, which I didn't realize was actually very important to me. Okay. That sounds extremely annoying because, you know, Sabrina's like, where are we?
What are you thinking? How are you feeling right now? How are you feeling? Here's how I'm feeling. I'm totally... Just...
Yeah, she's, of course, going to be super sweet to you right now because, A, if she doesn't, you're going to get steely cold with her, which we already have seen. And second of all, she wants to be on this TV show. She's like, just putting in my deposits, putting in my deposits to be a full-time cast member on Summer House.

Chapter 2: How does Kyle react to being roasted during the dinner?
yeah he's saying well i haven't said i love you to her yet so i'll say that and then maybe i'll ask her to be my girlfriend at the same time you know it's a big moment i haven't said i love you in 15 years oh that's something you get an award for for being emotionally inaccessible go see a therapist all right it's not that big of a deal to call yourself to get call yourself boyfriend girlfriend okay he's like like do you want all right is she your girlfriend i have to say i love you first no you don't
you don't get out of here you fuck twat i can't stand this guy ben so this is the end of his storyline basically you know they're like give ben a monologue so he's like yeah i'd love to be free and easy look i'm in i can't even read this it's just he had a girlfriend in high school um he hadn't his dad he's saying his dad was very religious like born again here it is so
He was, you know, like you don't have sex before marriage. And so his whole life, the dad was like, when you get older, there's going to be things and decisions you've got to make, which I won't agree with. But just so you know, I'll always love you. But then I had an indiscretion with a high school girlfriend and he didn't talk to me for years. So, yeah, I don't use that word lightly.
Well, he probably wouldn't have had a problem if you said I'm in love with I'm in love with this person and committed to this person. It was the sex, not the saying I love you part. You know what I mean?
Yeah. So, so what Ben is basically saying is that his dad withheld love and his dad was really fucked up because of it. And something that he's had to deal with. So he's going to rectify the, the traumas of the past by withholding love as well. Got it. Okay.
Like you're really good today. You're really on the, I'm really on one. You're really on the psychotherapy beat today. I love it.
he doesn't realize he's perpetuating the cycle come on now yeah um so but otherwise you know i do blame religion literally for everything including long lives long lines at mcdonald's i'm like i uh yes the answer is yes to that but this was actually interesting believe it or not i did find this interesting because now i had a greater context to why he is
awful and now we see like he literally has this overbearing religious father and that's messed him up for sure yeah but i get that like okay well i'm not going to say i love somebody because my daddy will get mad at me but you're still people left and right so what's the difference i don't know how's that punishing your dad it's only punishing the women you know i don't know this sounds like to me is what i'm saying
yeah unless he was like well my dad is so religious and then it's forced me into being a virgin for all these years to please my dad but he's not he's just not saying i love you to people he's he's screwing over women instead of like by just using them for sex instead of saying i love you to please his dad who got mad at him for having sex so he now he's having i don't know it's not nothing really but i don't really trust ben anyway so

Chapter 3: What insights do Ben and Sabrina share about their relationship?
And she was like, no, now it's a date because now she has it in her mind. Like, oh, now I'll be showing up on their date.
Yeah.
Yeah. So she's like, the last thing I would ever do is just like invite Sierra and Wes out on like an intimate date. They like just became friends. Mia's like, but yeah, I think it's too soon. You know, she goes, yeah, because like, even if they did get back together, I don't know, like. I just not, they don't seem like they'd be, I wouldn't be happy with that.
And just literally what would make me the happiest person in the whole entire world, the whole, the happiest would be like if they were good. Right. She says something like that.
She's like, well, if they got back together, I'd be happy about it. But you know, only if he's ready because he's not ready, you know? And it, my thing is he needs to be fucking ready. You know, it's him, not her. And she's me is like, yeah, I mean, he needs to be all the way in and he can't just, you know, fuck her again like that. She's like, yeah, I'm very wary of him. I'm sure you are.
i'm sure you are very wary of him watching him going on these little double dates and watching him over there flirting with sierra right now i bet it's really boiling your bunny so mia says that you know she was she says you know it's my concern that and like it's not sierra at all it's like making sure that west doesn't find his way back in and then be like oh well i'm actually not ready to do anything too serious right now which is of course what we know would have happened anyway regardless of the scandal so amanda is like
Yeah. Cause you know, like Sierra is like very special. She's a very special, incredible person and you need to treat her differently than any other woman in the world. Like until a man is capable of doing that, I don't trust anyone with her heart. It's like, oh, this is not aging.
Well, the music they were playing during this was so funny too. It was like, oh, sucker. If the music could have had lyrics, it would have been like, sucker. Sucker. She's like, you know, I would die for that girl. And the way that I'd cut West off in one fucking second, if she looked at me, like if she gave me one look, I'd be like, I'm going to attack.
Girl. No. Cut it out. I just kept on hearing Annie Lennox. Like, why are you saying these things? Why are you saying these things?

Chapter 4: How does the conversation about Amanda and Kyle's relationship evolve?
So now it's later. West is taking photos of Sierra. People are dancing and taking selfies. Ben gets in the water and Sierra goes to have the talk with Kyle. So she's like, well, the couples therapy this week. Um, yeah, and do you guys, like, feel like you're in a better state than you were?
He's like, well, yeah, she took the sheer... I mean, she went, so the sheer fact that she went at all is, like, I mean, we're in a way better place. You know, I think the real question is, like, are we both going to put in the effort? She's like, um, yeah. Look, well, we met up, obviously, like, right after you guys had, like, couple therapy, and, like...
i don't know sometimes like it sounds like it's what was her demeanor well like she was happy to go and like finally be able to say everything but like at the same time like we're talking about it and i feel like your frustration exists because like you guys have never like had a moment you know like you live on top of each other you know you used to work together your office is right there and i'm like look would it be a crazy idea if you guys just like physically just like separated for a month
And he just stays silent. Like, okay, now you're going to break up. Now Amanda's going to break up with me on TV through one of her friends, which is basically what's happening. Because Sierra's like, okay, you don't want to separate? I'll get you separated on TV. Don't you worry. I'll do it. I'll do it for you.
Yeah, I feel like this was a bit of an overstep from Sierra, just a little bit. It's a dicey thing. Or it's almost like, I wouldn't tell both parties. I'd tell one party and then let them handle it, but don't tell both of them? I don't know why.
I see why she's doing it, because she did tell Amanda, and Amanda was like, well, Kyle will never go for it. So she's like, okay, fine, I'll talk to Kyle. But yeah, this isn't your... I mean, I get it.
She's sick of it. Yeah. She's sick of it. She's been hearing of it. And it's like so uncomfortable in this house. It's like, fuck it. I'm just going to tell them that you guys got to break up because by the way, we all feel it. Right. But it's like, uh, it's just a tricky, it's a tricky thing to. I think it's tricky to say it to both parties. I don't know why.
I almost feel like it's one thing to tell your friend, be like, maybe you should propose this.

Chapter 5: What are the dynamics between Sierra and West in this episode?
But at that point you told your friend, here's my advice. And now it's like, you've given this advice to your friend and they have to go and they have to go do it. They have to propose it to their partner. And I think doing it on both sides, you run the risk of just seeming like someone who wants them to break up.
And yeah, giving your opinion, I think is valid. I mean, I think that Amanda's basically been asking for this for years and I think all the girls have been, you know, all the close friends to Amanda have been like, okay, you guys need, this is not okay anymore, you know? But Amanda's really been selling it this season. She's like, yeah, it's time for you guys to separate.
It's time for you guys to separate. It's time to separate. And now she's like, okay, it's not working. So I'm gonna go to Kyle. I'm gonna go straight to Kyle. I was like, damn. It's time for a commercial. It's time for a crappin's commercial. So he just stays silent. She's like, I mean, I know you guys love each other, you know, but like, you know, this is bringing bad stuff upon you guys.
And he's like, well, wait, have you talked to her about us taking some time away? Or is this a fresh idea? And she's like, yeah, it's not fresh. I'm sorry. What'd she say? Well, she said she would be open to that, but she didn't think you would be open to that. So I'm just like a broker. I'm a divorce broker. So I get 5% of whatever the divorce.
Maybe this was more of the overstep saying she would be open to that. Maybe her response should have been like,
It's not really my place to say this for you guys have that conversation, but I just, I floated around because we're all in this fucking house watching you guys be miserable and it's ruining everyone's summer and you're the king of summer should be fun and you're ruining it for all of us. So you guys fix this. Like maybe that's what the approach should have been.
But her saying, yeah, she'd be open to that. Maybe like, it's so that's such a tricky thing with like a marriage. I don't know. I wouldn't, I wouldn't, just, it wasn't the biggest, like, I just would have been like, I don't know if I would have waited on that.
Yeah. And Kyle's like, I'm kind of shocked. I mean, the fact that there's separation conversations happening within our friend group, unbeknownst to me, while we're trying our best to put our foot forward in therapy. I mean, it's disheartening.

Chapter 6: How does the group address the tension between Kyle and Amanda?
Like we're supposed to be putting it all out there with the therapist and now it feels like there's an elephant in the room and I'm second guessing what we're even doing. I mean, come on. And I mean, I get that. It's like, okay, so we've been going to therapy to be honest with each other. But meanwhile, this whole time she's been talking about leaving me and she's not telling me like,
What the hell? I mean, on the other hand, Amanda has been threatening to leave him for like years. So it's not like this should be that new to him. So he's like, well, when did you talk to her? When you walked the dog? I mean, look, you said she's receptive. I mean, that's just scary. She goes, yeah, it's not easy for me to say either.
Like, look, let me just tell you, this divorce is really hard on me.
Look at KJ over there. Look, he can't even stay awake. It's not harder on anybody than KJ. Oh, my God.
KJ, are you okay?
This divorce is going to break KJ. It's going to break him. Different spaces.
I'm just a lover, boy. Go back to bed, KJ.
is he crawling into a refrigerator it's my comfy place so sierra's like look i just don't want you guys to be so miserable like you don't deserve to be miserable you know it's like i just i don't know what exactly she wants if i'm being honest um and then cut to dara saying this bathing suit is riding up my anal cavity you know i'm darren
So now Sierra is pointing to Ben. They're just making jokes at each other. She's like, Bailey's like, you, oh my God, you look like someone from the Addams family. So now it's time to go.

Chapter 7: What role does Lindsay play in the group's dynamics?
Bailey's telling her that her vagina's out. Chefs arrive. And Lindsay's like, hello, chefs.
The kitchen's right in here. I'm going to go get ready real quick. I'll let you do your thing.
And then it was just sort of funny because later on when Lindsay comes back, the chef was like, hey, you get cleaned up real nice. I was like, excuse me, sir. Just stick to chopping asparagus.
The chef was something else. He comes in like... He won't smile. He's just like, whatever. I love a surly chef. So now people are getting ready for dinner, and Amanda's like, oh, my God, Wes, your hair is ridiculous. You should wear your hair like that. He's like, you know, well, Sierra told me that my hair sucked twice at dinner already, so...
oh i'm injured so that ben's on the phone with sabrina it's like hey sabrina you up she goes yeah i'm just in bed okay well i'm excited to see you tomorrow big old squeeze when you get here sick me too i can't wait to get here can't wait at all she hangs up the phone it's just like i'm like hiding on the side of the house okay 12 more hours before i can go inside 12 more hours
So Amanda goes by Kyle in their room and doesn't say anything. And he's like, oh, hey, hey, hey, Amanda. Hey, man, I'm going to put on some music. Is that OK? And she just doesn't answer him. He's like, uh, Amanda.
manna manna so now lindsey goes down to the kitchen and that's when the chef is like oh you clean up nice yeah um okay like quick turn around how are you doing in here like how long how long have you been a chef for he's like 20 plus years oh holy cow you've been poor that long
yeah and i've been cooking for 20 years wow so did you always know that's what you wanted to do he's like yeah it was either that or it's gonna be a dj or it's gonna be an architect oh that makes sense you know we have one of those an architect no dj yeah then kyle walks in Hey, what's going on? Follow DJ slash architect.
Wow. It's good to see somebody who took the turn I could have taken. You know, I chose right. I'll say that. Loser. Loser.

Chapter 8: What dramatic moments unfold during the dinner scene?
I mean, I don't know. Like I've shown my interest. I can't do anything more. Now let's just like light flirting, I guess. Carl and I have been flirting, texting all summer. Look at this. I'll meet you on the corner of 32nd and 6th. Okay. We'll see you there. I mean, it's basically like a romance novel. And, you know, I'm just not sure if it's going to be more than texting.
Like, maybe it's just flirty texting for the summer. I'm open to whatever it could become.
Here's a little tip from Uncle Ben to you. Learn some magic tricks. He's really into that. Oh, Lil. Flashback to Lil. Lil flashbacks. Ten lines and magic. My favorite.
So now Kyle is laying down with an eye mask on and Amanda comes into the kitchen and Amanda's like, Mother Hubbard, do you need help? Oh, my God. Look at Chef Frank, Big Frank in the house. So everybody comes in. It's all smelling great. So they're all wearing black. Wow. And now they are going to sit down and have some dinner.
Well, but first though, Jesse is, he spills some like martini on his shirt and he's like, hey Bailey, what happens if you spill some like martini on your shirt? Well, hypothetically speaking, nothing really happens because it's, you know, clear liquid, you know, but it smells terrible. We gotta dry that off. So she starts like wiping off his shirt
And from this camera angle from behind, looks like she's jerking him off. She's like, I can't even imagine what this looks like from a different angle. Like, you don't have to imagine it. We're seeing it.
So now KJ and Ciara are trying on their grills because their grills were delivered. So they're trying them on and they look cute. I mean, they've got jewels all over their teeth and stuff. And so now they're ready to go down to dinner. And Carl's like, oh, my God, Bailey, you look great. By the way, it's probably your best outfit of the summer. Probably the best.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I wish it showed off more of those tan lines, but at the same time, I love the modesty that you're showing. Oh, really? So you like a more modest look then, Carl, right? Yeah. I love modest tan lines. Oh, my God. Have you ever seen someone from 1736 with a tan line? Oh, yeah. Right around their ankles. It's so good. Mm-hmm.
