Why did Kerry feel overwhelmed after her first We Need To Talk went public?
This is an exclusive. I've not told anybody this. The story is the same thing I've been telling for years. It's just like the cameras are now in focus and people are actually hearing it differently. I just think about little Kara. Upsets me now.
Can you believe that we're doing this again?
He just bloody loved me, pal.
Here he comes. He's coming in. As a good interviewer, I have to ask you this.
I don't want to be associated with it. When we're together, it's amazing that we are very different people.
Do you believe you two will get married? Hey there, before we begin the episode, I just want to say thank you for choosing We Need to Talk. Are you ready for this?
Well, I've come prepared, Paul.
You've come prepared. All right, set your timers. Everyone get the timers. Kerry Katona, we need to talk again.
About what? I have nothing left to give, Paul.
You do, you do, you do. Can we start with this?
Yeah.
All right, let's start with this. Why in the world are you wearing pyjamas right now?
Well, the thing is, Paul, I've learnt my lesson with you. After knowing you for almost seven years, I can't get a word in each way.
What?
gonna say that is not and last time I was here like we've worked together on quite a few things now but last time I was here you kept you you no Paul you have this thing that you do that your ass can't get out the seat and you kept me here for 10 hours okay just over 10 hours I kept you here for 10 hours yeah It took you forever to get through that. We didn't even touch an aftershave.
We didn't. That's why you're back.
So this time, I've come back and thought, I'll be prepared. I've got my jammers, got my sleep mask, got my slippers. I've even brought my toothbrush.
Now, also, you're on a couch.
Do you want me to lie down?
Well, no, no, because it's not just you. You've brought someone with you.
It's not that small, Carl.
No, no, no. You brought Paolo with you.
I have brought Paolo with me.
Okay, so we're going to talk to Paolo. But before we bring Paolo on, it's just the two of us.
It's just us again.
It's just the two of us. Can you believe that we're doing this again?
No, I don't. No, I don't. I can't. I tell you what though, I did struggle after the one that we did went public. I struggled with the response but in a completely different way because I get really emotional but I was actually on FaceTime to my eldest two daughters, Molly and Lily, and I couldn't stop crying. I just never had such lovely, amazing support. And the messages I got, Paul, was so overwhelming that I'm not used to that. I'm normally the knobhead. Do you know what I mean? Everyone kind of, you know, the car crash carry. But the story I told you is the same thing I've been telling for years. It's just like the cameras are now in focus and people are actually hearing it differently. Yes. I found it overwhelming.
I didn't know how to accept. The beautifulness of so many lovely people showing support.
The comments on your episode are like paragraphs.
They're essays, Bob. My hands are killing me. I was like that all day.
Was that? That was you. That was you. But it was a lot of people essentially saying, I thought this one thing about Kerry was I can't believe that I thought that. I feel ashamed that I thought that.
Yeah, I noticed that. I've now changed my perspective. I don't normally read comments, Paul, and I think that's what surprised me the most because I get it. I get how people really... That's why I did the whole Katie and Kerry tour, which was all me. That was something I wanted... And there was no point in me telling my story on the stage because all the massive audience had all heard it. So for me, the fact that it was inspiring to others, that really fulfilled me. But I was also really confused thinking, I don't understand why the response is like this now when I've not told anything differently.
