Good. How are you? I'm good. What about a weekend of sport? How good is sport? Yes. Even the visual nature of the soccer, just the camera work and just such a cut above us, isn't it, unfortunately? Before we get into it, how was Friday night and the induction into the North Melbourne Hall of Fame?
Yeah, it was pretty good. Really good. Yeah, I was up on stage with Brent Harvey, who was, you know, he tried to act shocked that he got inducted into the Hall of Fame. It was like, come on, mate. And then Corey McKernan, hard on your sleeve type of stuff. He spoke from the heart. So it was, and of course- Dennis Pagan got up there and Malcolm Blight as well, amongst others. So really good night. Went to the game as a spectator on Saturday. Really good start. And we'll talk about that game a little bit later. But yeah, just good to see. It felt like a bit of a 90s reunion, which was great to see. So it's a once off, Gerard. I enjoyed it all. The tension was there. It was real. And now it's gone. Did you do a lap?
No, they got us out at halftime, reluctantly. So we went out there and the crowd wasn't great, unfortunately. It was only 25,000. I thought it would have been a bigger crowd. But yeah, overall, it was a great weekend for all the past players. And unfortunately, we lost a great icon of our club, Mick Kennedy. You wouldn't know him, Gerard, but he was just one of the heart and soul people of the football club and unfortunately passed away on Thursday.

Okay. So heavy hearts on that front. Yep. All right. Get us started with a Simmo says. Well, I think it's a little bit, you are who you are now. I think it's too late in the day to change your ways as a football team. And I'm seeing... You know, since the bye, which is three or four weeks ago, Gerard, some have worked really well and some it didn't work. So, you know, I think the Swans tweaks haven't worked. You know, I like the fourth hand ball. Are you going to stop us before you worry about anything else? They've gone away from that a little bit and the underbelly of their contest work is real now, especially against top eight sides. The Suns fixed a few things from clearance and contest, but it hasn't worked.
You know, they won the clearances and contests in the weekend, but they're broken. You know, North's inconsistency, they fix attack, then defence looks poor. They fix defence and attack looks poor. So, and then you've got the middle teams, the honest teams. I think Carlton are just going to be an honest side. You know, I think they are who they are. And I thought Frey spoke well about, you know, there's no magic pills here. We've got some work to do. And I thought we saw a bit of that in the weekend. Then there's the teams that got things right. And... If you're starting now, it's too late, I think. So Collingwood have got their transition game going, so there's a bit of an identity there. Freo have gone from, I don't know, bottom half to number one at the forward metres game, handball game now.
It's the last four weeks, number one. Melbourne have gone from 10th to number one in the contest in the last four weeks. Used the corridor a bit more than they did in the first half of the year, so they're evolving. And I think Adelaide's honesty with their contest and pressure is really starting to stand up in big games. They lost one game in the last five or six, and that was the showdown, which people are going hysterical about that, you know, that was them done. So, yeah, it's too late. If you're out there and your team's got some deficiencies, they'll be exposed in finals because you can't fix it in five weeks.
