You might wonder why we need to talk about self-compassion in pain reduction in fibromyalgia. What does it have to do with alleviating physical pain? Well, it turns out, a lot. Self-compassion is a way of soothing the over-agitated nervous system, that is amplifying our pain sensation on constant basis. We may not be directly to the part of our nervous system that amplifies the pain.
