In this episode we welcome a guy who has a seriously good way of telling a serious personal story. Graham Connolly competes at the sharp end of ultra marathons, battling for those cherished podium places for which he's enjoyed a few. John & Steven caught up with him to find out more about how he found his spark in running and how he went from newcomer to competitor in a surprisingly short period of time. Graham's serious message is one of his own mental health. Graham gives us an open and honest account of this and how he has used running and found coping strategies to overcome these difficulties. It's an often-taboo subject to discuss and hearing about it in such a straight talking style from a man who faced up to his own demons we hope goes a little bit towards breaking it's persistent social stigma.
