Episode Notes: Many times people have pain points in several different areas of the body, they get treated but often it's only temporarily relieved. This is because the area that was symptomatic was treated NOT the root cause. Healing any pelvic health issue always requires a whole body approach. We look at the big picture and listen to people's story and connect the dots into a cohesive plan for healing. The core is meant to be automatic and reflexive. Sometimes we lose this automaticity or the speed of recruitment is delayed and compensatory movement patterns are integrated. We need to retrain the core and generate support for our bodies from the center. It is always recommended that Pregnant women initiate pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy. This helps them maintain optimal and efficient movement strategies and alignment. It will facilitate a faster postpartum recovery and may prevent pregnancy.
