最年轻的这代人，叫做“Z世代”！5大特点不可不知

主播：Selah |翩翩 歌曲： We’ll Be the Stars*更多节目配乐，请在“网易云音乐”搜索“一席英语-老外来了歌单”。今天，我们聊一聊 Generation Z（“Z世代”）。“Z世代”指的是最新一代的年轻人，“Z世代”具体指的是the population born between 1997 and 2012（1997年到2012年间出生的人）。Generation Z is a concept that originated from the United States. 这是来自美国的一个名词。As the natives of the digital age, Generation Z has many different characteristics and behavior patterns , which has attracted extensive research and attention.“Z世代”一出生，就生活在数字时代中，他们是natives of the digital age（数字时代的原住民）。所以跟前几代人相比，Generation Z有很多不同的characteristics（特点）以及behavior patterns（行为模式）。Z世代的5大特点：特点一：They areDigital Natives.他们是数字时代的原住民。Generation Z has grown up with smartphones, social media, and other digital technologies, which has shaped the way they interact with the world.“Z世代”是同智能手机、社交媒体和其他数字技术共同成长起来的，这些技术改变了他们与世界互动的方式。他们会更习惯于online communication（线上沟通），比如更喜欢使用messaging apps and video conferencing platforms（线上会议平台）。And they are more likely to consume and create digital content like videos, blogs, and podcasts.而且他们很喜欢做视频、博客、播客之类。特点二：Diversity and Inclusivity. 多样性和包容性。Generation Z is the most diverse generation yet. Z世代是迄今为止最多样化的一代。This diversity has led to greater acceptance of people from different backgrounds and cultures.这种多样性让来自不同背景和文化的人更容易被接受。不管是什么样的background,来自什么样的culture，以及不管是男是女，在Z世代中都会得到greater acceptance（更大的接受度）。For example, a survey by MTV found that 76% of Gen Z respondents believed that gender did not define a person as much as it used to.例如，MTV的一项调查发现，76%的Z世代受访者认为，性别已经不像过去那样能定义一个人了。特点三：Entrepreneurial Spirit 创业精神Generation Z is the most entrepreneurial generation yet. Z世代可能是有史以来最具有创业精神的一代了。They are more likely to start their own businesses, pursue their passions, and take risks.他们更有可能自己创业，追求自己的激情，并敢于承担风险。这些都是热血青春的代名词！特点四：Individualism 个人主义They value personal freedom.他们很重视个人自由。They are less likely to conform to societal norms and expectations,instead prioritize self-expression and authenticity.他们不太可能符合社会规范和期望，而是会优先考虑自我表达和真实性。• conform v.遵守，符合• norm n.标准；规范• authenticity /ˌɔ:θenˈtɪsəti/  n.真实性；可靠性Gen Z shoppers were more likely to value unique and individualistic products.他们更愿尝试独特的或者个性化的产品。• individualistic /ˌɪndɪˌvɪdʒuəˈlɪstɪk/ adj.个人主义的特点五：Social and Environmental Consciousness社会和环境意识他们是更有社会责任感的一代。Generation Z is more likely to engage in social and environmental activism.Z世代更有可能参与社会和环境活动。• engage in  （使）从事；参与• activism n.行动主义Gen Z consumers were more likely to choose environmentally-friendly products.Z世代的消费者更有可能选择环保产品。• environmentally-friendly products 环保产品希望大家能从今天的节目中获得更深更广的视角。那欧美国家是怎么划分一代人的呢？在美国的文学、影视作品中，频繁出现的“沉默的一代”、“婴儿潮一代”等等，又是指什么呢？这些时代的人有什么样的特点呢？我们后面的节目将会详细解释，欢迎大家持续关注。
