A: I've been waiting here in the conference room for ten minutes already. What time does our meeting start? Where is everyone anyway?我在会议室已经等了十分钟，会议什么时候开始？其他人都在哪儿？B: Didn't you hear about that? Our meeting was postponed until Friday.你没听说吗？会议推到周五了。A: What? The meeting was postponed? No one told me anything about it. 什么？会议推迟了？没人告诉我啊。B: Didn't you get the memo?你没有看到备忘录吗？ A: What memo? There haven't been any memos this whole week. I check my in-box every day, and I haven't seen anything. 什么样的备忘录？整个这一周我也没见过什么备忘录，每天我都在查收文篮，什么也没看见。B: The memo went out three days ago. It should have made it to your in-box, but maybe it got lost in all the clutter on your desk. 备忘录是三天前发出去的，应该放进你的收文栏了，但也可能夹在你办公桌上那堆乱七八糟的东西里面。A: You know how things get piled up on my desk when I am busy. I know that sometimes I do misplace things, but I always read all the memos that go around. They go directly to my in-box, are you sure it was sent to the whole office.你也知道我忙的时候桌上东西会堆成山，我也清楚，有时候我我会把东西放错地方，但所有发下来的备忘录我都会看的，这些备忘录都会直接放进我的收文篮，你肯定所有办公室都发了吗？B: It should have gone around to everybody. They also posted a copy of the memo in the break-room. Don't you ever look at the messages posted on the bulletin board. 应该发给所有的人了，他们还在休息室贴了一张备忘录的复印件，你也没看到公告栏上贴的信息吗?A: I'm usually too busy to take a bunch of coffee breaks and gossip by the water cooler.
