在一个宽度为1的走廊里,这个走廊有一个向右的直角转弯,但是转弯过后,这个走廊宽度保持不变还是一,问在这样一个走廊里,搬一个沙发要能通过这个转弯,这个沙发最大可以多大?这个问题在1966年就被提出了,至今没有解决。Hammersley构造出如下沙发的样子,两边是半径为1的半圆,中间是宽为1,长为4/π的矩形,切去一个半径为2/π的半圆,面积约为2.2074:Gerver对上述沙发做了改进,整个沙发由18段曲线构成,面积约为2.2195:能通过左右直角弯的“双心形沙发”(ambidextrous sofa):双心形沙发面积公式:上期智力趣题答案:35^2+2^2+2^2+1^2=1234
