Thank you. Good morning everyone. Uh for the consent agenda this morning, there was one additional um item for item R one, a letter from Ralph Stone that was included in your additional agenda material yesterday. Uh there are no other additions to the consent agenda.

Thank you. Good morning again. Thanks. Um item R one is a local planning agency review for a change to the county's code of ordinances to update the portion related to school impact fees and student generation rates. This is based on the school board's received study from their consultant Banesh in June of this year, and the school board has recommended that the school impact fees be maintained as they are And exist in the existing land development code, and that the student generation rates be modified per the study, which are generally lower rates with the exception of two minor increases in categories. And there. So the ordinance you have before you was presented to planning counsel by the County Attorney's Office and the Barrett County Urban Planning Division.
And your recommendation is simply for the consistency with. with the um Broward County land use plan and staff has found it consistent with the uh with the plan. Uh just a couple of notes that the uh the ordinance does retain I should put on my glasses. I'm telling you to put on the microphone, I'm gonna put on my glasses. Sorry. The uh study does retain that school impact fees must be paid before the issuance of a building permit, retains the quarterly remission to the school board of Broward County for expenditures from the County Commission, maintains the existing adopted school impact fee schedule, so no changes to the school impact fees. Those are based on dwelling unit type. um updates and streamlines the student generation rates by dwelling unit uh category and then also revises the student generation rates to be based on um dwelling unit type and number as opp for all three levels of education as opposed to um
