We've got a pretty good crowd today. So we're moving on to agenda item number three, approval of the minutes. I would like to get a motion to approve the minutes from March 4th and March 11th. So with that, Woodbirds Women's Club 60th Anniversary, please join us at the side so we can give you your commendation.

you. Okay. For item 4A, we'd like to commend the Woodbridge Women's Club for their 60th anniversary. The General Federation of Women's Clubs, Woodbridge Women's Club, was founded on March 15, 1965 by 35 ladies who wanted to provide service to the community and is now celebrating its 60th anniversary. Over the past 60 years, the Woodbridge Women's Club has awarded over 194 scholarships to local college-bound high school seniors with awards totaling more than $170,000. They've provided clothing, supplies, and warm hats to students at the Featherstone and Occoquan Elementary Schools. They volunteered at Fellowship House and supports it with yarn, prizes, and holiday decorations and snacks. They've also sewed heart-shaped pillows and other comfort items for the cancer and surgical patients at Sentira Hospital.
And several other ways that together led the Prince William Chamber of Commerce to nominate the Woodbridge Women's Club for the Agnes Colgan Award for Community Service. Today, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors commends the Woodbridge Women's Club for their 60th anniversary, and we affirm and recognize that the Woodbridge Women's Club is an outstanding contributor to the success of Prince William County.
Thank you. Chair Jefferson and Supervisor Franklin, and Honorable... Honorable members of the board, good afternoon. And thank you for the honor and the recognition of our 60th anniversary. Thank you all. My name is Lucy Williams. I'm sorry I didn't say that first. I'm the president of the Woodbridge Women's Club, and I stand here today with members of our club. And there are some of our board members here, Pam, Montgomery, Carol Bowen, Lori Post, Kathy McNeely, and Pat White, and Karen Townsend, and all the members of the Woodbridge Women's Club. Not everybody, but who we have here today. So, and we... and we express our sincere gratitude for this recognition. We are committed to helping our local community.
We're working collaboratively. We exchange ideas, which enables us to achieve our goals of dedicated service to our community. Over the past 60 years, we have provided over $171,000 in scholarships to the Prince William County students, provided hundreds of service hours in our Prince William County schools, volunteering in the classrooms, reading, teacher appreciation, breakfast, providing much-needed supplies for the students. Our heart-shaped pillow projects for cancer and heart patients earned us media recognition and dollars, which provided right back into our community. Now our recent project is Adopt a Bus Shelter and we're working with Keep Prince William Beautiful and the director there has commissioned an artist to depict what we want to do
