What opening procedures and agenda approvals are covered at the start of the meeting?
Good afternoon. It's 2.03 on Tuesday, December 19th. For those who wish, please join me in a moment of silence.
Thank you. If we could all rise for the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which
Thank you. We are now on to agenda item three, the approval of the meeting minutes from November 28th, December 4th, and December 5th. The chair will entertain a motion to approve agenda items 3A, 3B, and 3C. Move for approval, Madam Chair. Second, Madam Chair. Motion made by Supervisor Bailey, seconded by Vice Chair Bodie. Any discussion? Chair Wheeler, I don't think your iPads have joined, so I'm going to do a voice roll call on the minutes. Okay. Madam Chair. Supervisor Lawson? Can we separate these so I don't have to abstain from all? Because I was not there on the fourth. Oh, okay. Someone want to do a substitute motion for 3A and 3C? So moved, Madam Chair. Second. Okay, substitute motion on 3A and 3C by Supervisor Bailey and seconded by Vice Chair Bodie.
Any discussion on 3A, 3C? Okay, we're ready to vote. Ms. Madden, if you want to take a roll? Thank you. I'm sorry, Supervisor Bailey? Aye. Supervisor Bodie. Aye. Just one second. Okay. Sorry. We're running slow today. Supervisor Angry. Aye. Supervisor Franklin. Aye. Supervisor Lawson. Oh, that's okay. I'm sorry. That's okay. Thank you. Supervisor Vega. Aye. Supervisor Weir. Aye. Chair Wheeler. Aye. Vote unanimous. And that was for November 28th and December 5th.
So if I could get a motion on 3B. So moved, Madam Chair. Second. Motion made by Supervisor Bailey, seconded by Vice Chair Bodie. Any discussion? Ms. Madden, can you call the roll? Yes. They are yes, but yeah. But I'm kind of confused because mine says request to speak, and mine never usually says that, so I'm a little freaked out. But that's all right. So why don't you see if we can vote? Okay. No boxes, no. It's not the right system, yeah. Okay, they're not working yet. So we've got Supervisor Bailey. Aye. Supervisor Bodie. Aye. Supervisor Angry. Aye. Supervisor Franklin. Aye. Supervisor Lawson. Abstain. Yes, ma'am. Supervisor Vega. Yes. Supervisor Weir. Aye. Chair Wheeler. Aye. Vote unanimous. Supervisor Lawson abstaining from vote.
Okay. Okay. So that brings us onto our consent agenda item. We have 21 items today. Are there any items anyone wishes to remove from the consent agenda item because they have specific questions or concerns that they haven't been able to have answered before today? Supervisor, where are your lights on? Cause I know our request to speak doesn't work. Oh, it doesn't. Okay. Um, yeah. Um, four J and then four K through four O collectively. 4K through 4, are those the contracts? Yes. Okay. 4O. Okay. Okay. 4J and then, so J through O. J through O, but K through O I can deal with handling together as a group. Supervisor Bailey. Okay. Okay. No, that's right. So could I get a motion for 4A through 4I and for P through 4... you you so move manager second motion made by supervisor bailey seconded by vice chair bode any discussion seeing none i don't know it's mine still says request to speak so i know it's not in the right mode and i've tried to load it again just so you know and it's not working yep
but if you want to take roll that'd be great thank you very much supervisor bailey Supervisor Bodie. Aye. Supervisor Angry. Aye. Supervisor Franklin. Aye. Supervisor Lawson. Aye. Supervisor Vega. Aye. Supervisor Weir. Aye. Chair Wheeler. Aye. Vote unanimous. OK. Now, I'll turn it back to Supervisor Weir. But isn't Jay part of the same thing? I don't know. You didn't pull that out. OK. You want to start off with Jay, then? Start off with Jay. Thank you, Madam Chair. I would simply note I don't have an issue with the contract on Jay. However, as the town of Occoquan residents are dual taxed and they already pay taxes to the county and they provide Other support in terms of school proffers, that sort of thing. I would simply like the $3,200 fee removed.
I think the citizens have already paid enough in the town of Occoquan. I'll turn this over to Mr. Shorter to either ask staff or have someone come speak to this.
