All right, good afternoon everyone. We have a full house. If you could please take a seat. Um it is two o'clock on Tuesday, July second. We are gonna begin um with an invocation. And if you don't mind, uh it is gonna be in honor of the late John Liver. He was the planning commissioner. Um for um Supervisor Weir. He passed away unexpectedly on vacation. So let's take a couple moments.
Thank you everyone. All rise if you are able for the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God and indivisible with liberty and justice for all. All right. Thank you everyone. We are now gonna move on to item three and that is the approval of minutes from June fourth and june eleventh. Can I get a motion?

All right, so I'm gonna step down and I ask the Supervisor Um Franklin come down with me. The first one is to proclaim July twenty twenty four Parks and Recreation Month. And the second one is to commend the General Federation of Women's Clubs, Woodbridge Um Women's Club.
Uh yeah.
All right, Seth, and anyone uh with you who wants to come down for Parks and Rec month? Looks like green was the color and I almost wore green today.
Oh.
Oh, you brought an entourage. We're wondering why so many people are here. All right. So item four A, proclaimed July Parks and Recreation Month. Parks and recreation programs have been shown to have an immensely positive impact on the entire community. Access to green space improves our mental well being. There are studies that show access to parks may lessen the impact of depression and anxiety. Parks and recreation programs improve our community's economic prosperity, increase property values, and lower crime rates, all while providing beautiful natural space. We would like to thank the one thousand four hundred employees and countless volunteers who maintain our parkland and offer recreational programming to this community.
I am proud to proclaim July as Parks and Recreation Month in Prince William County. Yeah. Or even They're passing it off to you.
Thank you, Madam Chair, members of the board. Seth Henler Vossam, honored to serve as the County's Department of Parks Recreation. Uh director, it's been an honor to serve you all. Really appreciate all the resources that you've steered our way to help make us a um uh Uh a wonderful community that embraces nature, history, preservation, and creates opportunities for our community to thrive. We really believe that we are a transformative force for our community, a renaissance profession. We have our hands in a little bit of everything, and uh we're happy to help any way that we can. Looking forward to a great future here in Prince William County under your leadership chair and uh uh the county exec and the members of the board.

Okay, I was told to proceed. I am pleased and honored to present to the Wibbridge Women's Club this commendation and recognition of the outstanding service that this club has provided to the community for more than fifty-five years. This club has awarded 194 scholarships to local college-bound students valued at more than $117,000, supported local elementary schools with clothes, hygienic items, and continues its support of fellowship house by engaging with residents and providing craft supplies and snacks. Most recently, the club was recognized for its efforts in support of Centira Hospital's Cancer Network Resource Center. Club members gathered to sew heart shaped pillows and other comfort items that they donated to the oncology and surgery patients at Centira.
