I'm Chairman Barbara Latif of the Prince William County School Board and I would like to on behalf of the school division welcome you all to the Kelly Leadership Building for our uh annual legislative uh event and breakfast and this year we've decided to to work with the Board of County Supervisors and do this as one event. So we're excited you were all able to join us. I'm gonna turn it over to Chair Wheeler, she has to call the meeting to order. or the County Board of Supervisor site.

Okay, well thank you everyone. So at this point we're gonna move on to I will just provide a brief update on the state of the school division, highlight a couple of our highest legislative priorities, and then our county partners will present and we'll use the remaining time for discussion. So I'm gonna if we take a look, do I I hit the big button? Excellent. So agenda. So just to give you some points about Prince William County Schools, uh we are the second Largest school division in Prince William County. We are also the most diverse. Nationally, we are the 34th largest school division in America, and we're the 10th most diverse in the nation. Our minority population in the school division is 72%. English learners make up 25% of our students, students with disabilities, 13%, and economically disadvantaged 47%.

If you take a look at Over um to the right at our employee numbers, we have a total 16,708 employees. We are the largest employer in Prince Wayne County. The breakdown there is for teachers, staff, and others.
