Uh um anyways, I I turned in several um Emails and uh at the Santa Clara council meeting and never really heard back about developing economic Yeah. Things around the Santa Clara core. And wanting to make it um There seems to be a lot of people out there that have a lot of ideas that aren't really connected. through uh whatever situation why there's not really a an avenue for us to like Why don't you try this idea, this idea, this idea, or say, no, we can't do that. I'm either way, it helps. Um and I would appreciate if Maybe when 'cause I spent a lot of time on it. I actually went through and called different cities and wrote them and asked them what they did at their big public events. And the Forty Niners came and

The it was a great game and I'm sure there was a lot of positive A lot of people didn't feel like they were heard during that situation. And that a lot of cities, San Jose, San Francisco took a lot of the Dollars away. Instead of Santa Clara. And Santa Clara tried to offer a new mayor tried to make sure that it was Enough stuff was being done in Santa Clara that Validated our expense for what we were doing. There's a lot more people that have a lot more ideas. And could help even take some of that pressure off city staff, willing to I know I was and I brought it up several times and it didn't really go anywhere. Thank you.

So we're gonna get started with our general business, which is the This is general business. Um report to Economic Development and Marketing Committee from City Staff. Oh, here it is. Sorry about that. Discussion and input on the citywide 2026 economic development. and community engagement. Um, but first of all, I want to thank our committee and our staff. for the event at Levi Stadium that happened was it last weekend or the weekend before? Feels like it's all a blur. Um that was a fantastic event. Did it was everyone here present?

Did everyone had get a chance to go? So I'd like to hear some feedback on that. Um, so I don't know if it's the appropriate time or right now. You oh, okay, you've got it because I have to say our staff did a phenomenal job putting that together at the last minute. So let's give them a round of applause. I think in the history of any city, putting together an event like that with week's notice is something that is uh for the record books.
