All right. Um w we're now um Going to consent calendar. We have two items on our consent calendar. One is approval of the minutes for the April 13th governance and ethics committee meeting. And the May twenty first governance and ethics committee meeting. Does Any of my uh fellow members have any comments or questions or
I just want to note for the record that uh committee member Shahal wanted to correct the minutes that uh during the item three, uh I inadvertently put Robert Sue and it should say Robert's rules.
Okay. Um Very good. Um And motion to approve. Minutes uh I had two meetings. I had a couple of comments. Um Um yeah, I had I know it was in the motion to add the table that uh member Chahal had had referred to, and that was in the motion and we approved that. Um I had asked for that um to be um Uh added. Um in any case. Um Um we had a member of the public. Uh I'm asking about adding a ticker. to our uh videos and and such. And so um I believe that that is n I saw a notice that um Uh two things are happening. One is that our Legistar video recordings now have a speed option where you can view the Yeah. Um the video at faster speeds like two X. And then I think we're also, um, maybe Nora can uh clarify, I think we are gonna be adding some sort of ticker.

Not on the agenda. Thank you very much. And I I've got two minutes on the item three coming up later, but this is different. Um hi, it's uh for the record, Chris Stampolis, um Santa Clara. And um I I wanted to more just kind of point out as you're looking to future agenda items here, that in the education world, as you probably know, so at a college board or at a school board, state law specifically provides a process. for members of the public to directly agendize items for action on agendas for those governance bodies. So I'm not advocating that that should have to happen here. The reason I'm bringing it up is because I think in the public, not just in Santa Clara, but sometimes across the entire state.
Residents get confused because they often first encounter governance when they're a parent of a small child. Maybe they have to go to a school board. You know, that's kind of their entree way. They don't often just go straight to a council and they learn the process. Oh, if they have a real issue and they can't get it resolved, well, then this is how they actually get it on the agenda for that board of trustees meeting.
