Uh first uh item on our agenda is the consent calendar, uh which are as Uh all items of concept cowor are approved with a adopted with a single motion. Um no other um thoughts. Um I'll point out um I think if I don't know, is there a requirement for people who weren't at the previous meeting to abstain or or can they vote?

So if you'd like to come forward and join us or speak loudly, we'd appreciate it. I'll say a couple of short comments. Um, we've been living in the area since uh nineteen ninety eight. Um Okay. Quite. Families. Okay, so Slow. Yeah. Yeah, my wife's right. Now that I'm semi reserved, I thought that's Really happy to have this firework. Thank you very much. Okay, so um August is the start of a really busy fall for us. So we have um Northside book sale on the uh seventh of August. We have mission books sale um on the tenth of August, our Saturday sale. which is actually a s Friday, Saturday, Sunday sale now, um, is the fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth. And one of the things we're doing differently because um Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are overwhelmed with donated books. So um this month, Friday and Saturday will both be bag sales. So you get a bag of books for five dollars. So tell your friends and neighbors because it's gonna be a good deal. Sunday will be a regular patio sale, not a bag sale. Um the other things kind of on the agenda is just to look forward to in the fall.

Um the foundation will have a presence at the Art and Line Festival. Um Santa Clara Wind will also be at the Parade of Champions, we'll also be at Comic-Con. And so we have a lot of community activities coming up. Um We do like to have volunteers come and help us at at these opportunities. And you're semi-retired, so Something we should never mention around a foundation. But we have lots of opportunities for people to come and and for board members, if you want to just come, you know, when we're tabling and just stay for an hour, that's fine. You don't have to sign up for like a four hour shift or something. But it's really nice for um for you to be able to see the interaction with the community and also to talk about what makes you

want to support the library and so it helps us get other people to come and support the library. I think that's just about it. Um one other thing is you as most of you know, we did get um a pretty large bequest um earlier this year. And because of that, um, we are gonna have an audit this fall. And so we haven't had we've been doing audit review, audit review. And during the pandemic, the audits got so expensive and we had no money coming in, really. Um, so we had to put a pause on that. We've always had our nine nineties done by a CPA, so we don't do those in-house, but we are having an audit again this year, so we'll be sharing that.
