Thank you for your patience, everyone, as we work through some technical issues. First of all, I'd like to welcome our new Commissioner, Anna Vargas Smith. Are you our first meeting? Welcome, welcome. And I will take a roll call. Commissioner Das, Commissioner Diaz, Commissioner Garg, Commissioner Pontius, Commissioner Roy, and Ms. Smith and myself.

So that passes unanimously. Okay, we will now move to the public presentation section of our meeting. This part of the meeting is reserved for the public to address the Cultural Commission on any matter not on the agenda that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission. The law does not permit action on or extend discussion of any item not on the agenda except under special circumstances.

Hi. I I'll stand and and be in front of you guys. I don't know if I should feel this end. Um just to give you a a little background, I'm Anna Gibal. I'm with St. Clair Church and we're celebrating the 250th celebration of the mission. And then next year's 150th anniversary of the city of Santa Clara. And in doing so, I uh We have our theme, um, mission to mission. And we are asking if the culture commission could help host or and or sponsor and or help. with maybe an invocation invocation event at the statue of St. Clair in front of Sikh uh City Hall. Um this event would would again celebrate the city of Santa Clara's 150th anniversary as well as uh 250th anniversary of the mission of say uh of St. Clair, honoring the city's 1776

Founding its patronist, St. St. Clair, and its current diversity in our community. Ideally, the commission would assist with hosting the ceremony on a weekend, and we're suggesting maybe during the feast day of St. Clair next year. In August, I had uh several dates that I had listed as the Sunday afternoon or a Saturday afternoon on uh August 7th, 14th or 15th. Of uh twenty twenty seven. And I don't know how large an event like this could be. But What we would do is we would for sure open it to our parishioners to come. And uh you know on the afternoon and it'd be in conjunction with the city. And it would be an invoc invocation like event, um, something that would give us a sense of community.
