And...
I understand, just to be clear here, I understand that when we get to the playoffs, 3-on-3 OT is gone, you play periods, 5-on-5, all that's great.
But right now, as we sit here, the Colorado Avalanche are in first place in the Central Division with 79 points.
As far as I'm concerned, no one's catching them.
The Wild now is second with 70 points, and the Dallas Stars are third with 69.
And we can debate home ice.
It's not what it used to be in the playoffs, but in my opinion, if you're the Wild, you want every advantage that you can get.
And so the more that you can finish games off, preferably in three-on-three, and get two points...
the better.
So I understand that it doesn't translate as far as the OT rules go to the playoffs, but what does translate is when you have already played 21 overtime games, you want that extra point every opportunity to, if nothing else, get home ice against the Dallas Stars.
I believe AJ is frozen.
