You may think that I always, so my parents were always just flatliners.
And I, when you're a kid, you try to make sense of things.
Everything gets like passed through some sort of
filter that tries to shape it into something recognizable you can't just go they're flat liners they have no interest in anything they're horribly depressed they have no interest in you and that that's your lot in life you're always thinking what would what would they be into but it's really pretty interesting uh

But so here's the interesting part.
As a kid โ so my family were pseudo-intellectuals.
Like they were โ they fancied themselves intellectuals.
They were sort of โ they liked this sort of European flair.
They liked reading.
They had these sort of highfalutin friends that were like โ
professors and spoke multiple languages.
There's nothing my grandmother liked more than a gay couple.
She looked at, thought that was really progressive and evolved and blah, blah, blah.
And my mom sort of had that too in a sort of low rent kind of hippie depressed way.
My dad's idea of a great Saturday would just be sitting on a folding chair somewhere reading a book.
And so my entire life
