We have to like, you know, you have to prepare to ask excellent questions and to know the person that you're interviewing.
And we have to put in the work and that really matters.
But at the same time, you know, how am I treating the person across from me why I'm interviewing them, right?
And that also makes a difference.
Am I showing them respect?
Am I making them feel like I value what they say?
And so, you know, this idea of
Visionary exemplar and mentor, I think just really, you know, I've written, you know, how to be a more inspiring parent.
And it's helping kids make sense of their experience.
That's the visionary, being strong and powerful for them, but showing your own passion.
But then finally, really taking their needs seriously and not just imposing your will, um, but doing it in a way that is going to be particularly motivating for.
person and you know, having two kids you really realize one kid responds to, you know, pressure and the other one crumbles under it.
And so then okay, I can put pressure in this one, but not in this one.
And so part of that is that idiosyncratic tailing.
Yeah, and well I'll say three things about that.
The first thing is that, um
when you look at the world and you look at the people that have achieved what you might call greatness, um, the two dimensions that really characterize those individuals are visionary and exemplar.
Right.
And so um, you know, even Mother Teresa, the paragon of what we think of as virtue, um
was actually pretty notorious for treating her people badly.
