And then would have them do some range, you know, dozens of different types of activities, and we could just see whether that simple recall mattered to them.
And so one of the things that I found out was that um and this has been used in
hundreds of experiments across the world.
So I was the first one to do it, but it took on like wildfire.
And part of the reason why it took on wildfire is it's incredibly easy to implement, right?
You can do it online, right?
You can do it in groups.
Is that um just thinking about a time when you had power um made you act in very, very very predictable ways.
And so some of the ways that it made you act were um what you might call
the um I mean the the the turd the neuropsychological term that we use is it activates what's called the behavioral approach system.
And what that means is it leads to um more um active behavior.
So for example, people in positions of power will more likely make the first offer.
That's one form of action, right?
They feel more confident, they feel more optimistic, they see the big picture, they feel um more
Authentic, they express more passion.
There's all these different ways that they do it.
And it makes them feel more brave.
It makes them feel more courageous.
And so we did some really, I think, amazing experiments where we had people like write out job applications like cover letters, or we actually had them go through an interview for a mock interview for business school.
