I really appreciate that.
I've had like a double life all this time.
Nobody knew, but I was always trying to write novels and always trying to write plays.
And that was always going on in the background of my food blogs.
The problem was I just wasn't very good at it.
And I really struggled to get out of my own head.
And, you know, I think it's like when you're young, you want to be like the next Kurt Vonnegut or the next, you know, Vladimir Nabokov.
It's like sort of like you have to sort of come down from that mountain and just be like, OK, who am I really?
Like, what do I know?
What do I have to say?
I mean, I'm 46 years old, so it really did take that long to get to this place where I'm like, well, I know a lot about food.
And to answer your other question, I've ghostwritten a celebrity's cookbook.
And that seems like a good subject for a novel.
So I think I let go of some of my pretensions and just was just like, I'm going to write a fun book and let it just be like the devil wears Prada in the food world and enjoy myself while I write it.
And I, and it's totally fine to write a book that people can just enjoy at the beach and, and have a good time, but hopefully it's nutritious enough that it doesn't feel like just like candy that like, it feels like you get something out of it.
So that was my goal.
And so I did ghostwrite a celebrity's cookbook, but similar to, I'm sure your experience is catering.
