And I absolutely love that book.
Her chili, like her eggplant lasagna, her hummus, burgers, just the way that like a brilliant chef makes home-cooked meals.
And I love that book so much.

I mean, right out of the gate, I can answer that and just say Calvin Trillin.
He was my first funny food writer I ever read.
And I just loved how unpretentious he was, but yet sophisticated.
I mean, he wrote for The New Yorker and he wrote about politics.
He wrote about so many other things, but he treated food just as seriously.
And I love the way that he writes about his family and his wife and just integrates food into that.
The other one, I mean, I'd have to say is Amanda Hassler's book, Cooking for Mr. Latte.
That's still one of my favorite food books just because it's so fun to read.
